DH I raise, buy, and sale locally raised foods and homemade products. We also have a store that you can visit for all other products.

We try to get around to as many markets as we can to bring you the opportunity to enjoy our goods without traveling far. Specializes in German foods, home grown Corn raised and grass fed beef, free range hicken eggs, Hutterite checkens and pot pies, and home canned jams and pickles.

Dee passed yesterday afternoon. Ken and I and Dee's family wish to thank all of you who rallied to the call and helped us liquidate her store.It officially closed Saturday evening at 5 p.m.
There was very little canned items left which was donated to a 4-H group as a fund raiser by the family. The German items were all sold, the majority of Dee's canned goods, and most of her beef, all the lamb and grass fed beef. We also sold several of the freezers and refrigerators. . Thank you all for the help and donations to her welfare.
She passed quietly yesterday afternoon and services will be held Wednesday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Methodist Church on Kansas City and 7th Street with visitation from 5 to 7 May 9.
To all who asked about her animals, they are all being care for by members of the family and Oscar has a great home with Dee's son, Mike, who also has acreage and Oscar's dad to play with.

Dee isn't doing well and won't be able to return to the store and the buyer fell through so---.
The store will be closed all day Thursday, but open Friday and Saturday to sell everything at a discounted price to try to get rid of it all--freezers and refrigerators included
We have jellies, pickles of all kinds,, Halupsie, perogies, summer sausage, beef sticks, brats, a few cuts of lamb and grass fed beef, chicken and duck eggs, Dimock cheese and butter, Salmon, smoked salmon, ahlibut and walleye, chislic, knoepfla, cheese buttons and a few other things, too. Stop in and stock up as the store will close Saturday night for good.
Sorry to bring the bad news, folks, but nothing we could do. Thanks for being such good friends and loyal customers to Dee.

Dee is not doing so well this week and has entered Hospice Care at the hospital .Ken and I have been running the store, but must take a few days off. It will be open part time only for this next week. Check or call one of us to see if we are there. There are plenty of both chicken and duck eggs for all. Still have plenty of meat rolls (perogies) , chislic and kuchen, too. Still have some of Dee's knoepfla and and summer sausage, too.

Well, folks, Dee is improving and is out of ICU, but is still pretty weak. She is improving daily, but not there yet. As you know, she also had a stroke and is trying to recover from that, too.
Cards may be sent to her at the Regional Hospital, Room 603, or you may drp them off at the store. Her son and grandson read them to her. I was permitted to spend about 15 minutes with her, but she was tired before I left. Of course, sleep helps heal all.
Still have plenty of eggs, German brats, spaetzle, and kuchen. Need a quick dinner -- try a chicken pot pie made by the Hutterite colony in Platte. Stuffed with veggies and meat in a 9 inch shell.

After just 5 days, they had her on her feet and moving Saturday morning.
Ken and I are still keeping the store open. Stop in and say 'Hi.
We have plenty of eggs, both hicken and duck, Hutterite smoked and regular chicken, cheese buttons, the usual canned jams and pickles, plus home-made sauerkraut. There is still iplenty of Dee's corn raised beef in roasts, steaks and other selected cuts of meat.

Dee is in the hospital and Ken and Vi will try to run her store while she is gone. If the hours change, the new schehdule will be posted on the door.
Just received a shipment of kuchen, chislic and perogies. today. Last week there was a shipment of German fry sausage, brats, plus thick bacon.
Stop in and say 'Hi' and you may drop off get well cards at the store. Mike Holmberg, Dee's son, will stop and pick them up and take to the hospital.

I have lots of eggs for dinner and dying for Easter, both duck and chicken. Will have another shipment of chislic in next week.
Want something different for Easter? Try a leg of lamb. Place your order this weekend to be sure of delivery. Have plenty of Linda Lintz's pies and cakes for your Holiday dinner. Also just received another shipment Kuchen and Bierocks Perogies.
We need lots of jeans for our dog quilts. We are also make and donate quilts for the Battle Mountain Humane Society.

With the nicer weather, both the ducks and chickens are doing their duty and laying plenty of eggs. Also received another shipment of German sausages. I have smoked Alaskan Sockeye salmon back in stock. It is getting harder to get the fresh water sockeye salmon all the time.
