Good afternoon,

Several weather sites are predicting Hurricane Helene will develop into a Category 3 storm by landfall and it's headed our way. 🌧️ Due to the severe inclement weather forecast for the area, the Co-op will be closed tomorrow. We expect to re-open Friday, September 27, at 7:00 am. - - GA Power and Comcast willing. We'll issue an update late Thursday or early Friday to keep you informed.

Coastal Plains Farmers Co-Op in Quitman is looking for a warehouse worker, it will be a full time position eligible for benefits after a probationary period.

Job duties will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing in warehouse and operating a forklift. May require heavy lifting.

We currently do not have power at the Co-op's Quitman location. That means no phones, no lights, no computers, no HVAC, nada. However the Barwick facility is up and running. If you have an immediate need, please consider using that location.
We'll let everyone know when Quitman is back on line.

As of 4.00 pm today, Thursday Aug 31, neither the Quitman nor Barwick facility have electrical power. As you know, almost everything the Co-op does requires electricity - from soybean receiving/weighing/unloading, to fertilizer blending, to operating scales, to recording sales and accounting entries, even lighting the warehouse, requires electricity. As a result, the Co-op will be closed tomorrow, Friday, September 1. We will check both locations early tomorrow morning and if power has been restored, we will let you know.

Coastal Plains Farmers Co-Op in Quitman is looking to fill a warehouse/floater position, it will be full time eligible for benefits after probationary period.

Job duties will include warehouse work, loading/unloading trucks and other work needed on the yard.
