Last weekend, we got to spotlight some of the behind the scenes labor and material that goes into running !
This fleece we displayed came from ewes (adult female sheep), about a year to a year and a half old for their first shearing. We could still feel the lanolin oil (a powerful moisturizer) on the fibers of the hair!
Keep an eye out for more inside looks of our producers at the info tent!

ATTENTION SHOPPERS! New York City is experiencing extreme cold weather conditions this weekend. For the safety of our staff, producers, and customers, we will be delaying open times at Greenmarket locations on Saturday (2/7) and Sunday (2/8).
