SUPPORTING SNAP CUSTOMERS
$1,200 in fresh foods available per EBT card for November 2025.
The expectation of the program is to give each SNAP customer one full PINK booklet ($30 total) plus two individual GREEN vouchers ($10 total) for a total of $40 per SNAP customer per day. Green vouchers are eligible for produce and dried beans, Pink vouchers are eligible for all SNAP groceries.
UPDATE: From Persephonie Devereaux, Communications and Outreach Manager, Pinnacle Prevention: "SNAP participants are eligible to receive a $10 green voucher for Double Up fruits and veggies, and a $30 pink Food Bucks Now voucher for any SNAP eligible foods in November or until the government shutdown ends, per day, per SNAP/EBT card. The SNAP participant local should have received $40 in vouchers. All future issuances will be $40. Thank you for letting me know."
Roadrunner Market Offers “Food Bucks Now” to Fill SNAP Gap
Roadrunner Market shoppers with a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) EBT card, formerly food stamps, can now get help during the government shutdown at Roadrunner Market. Special temporary funding is allowing the store to offer $40 worth of food vouchers per EBT card per day, while the shutdown persists or until funds run out.
The Food Bucks Now program in Arizona is a temporary program to help Arizona households enrolled in SNAP, commonly referred to as food stamps.
When customers present their SNAP/EBT card to staff at Roadrunner Market, they will get $30 for SNAP-eligible grocery products such as meat, milk, eggs, and bread. They will also get another $10 for fruits, vegetables, and dried beans, for a total of $40 per day per EBT card.
Because benefits in Arizona have not yet been loaded to EBT cards during the month of November, no SNAP balance or transaction is required to earn Food Bucks Now vouchers. Food Bucks Now vouchers are first-come, first-served during the month of November. All Food Bucks Now vouchers expire November 30, 2025.
“When people don’t know where their next meal is coming from, they are in genuine crisis. SNAP benefits help our neighbors keep food on the table. Food Bucks Now doesn’t come anywhere close to filling the gap, but we hope that every little bit of hope can help families across Arizona right now,” stated PINNACLE TEAM MEMBER. 855,000 low-income children and adults received SNAP benefits from Arizona Department of Economic Security (ADES) in the month of October.
The Food Bucks Now program is operated at Double Up Food Bucks locations across Arizona. Roadrunner Market joined the Double Up Food Bucks program earlier this year. When customers use SNAP benefits to buy fruits and vegetables, they earn a free voucher to pay for produce on their next visit. Double Up helps SNAP customers access fresh produce, supports local businesses, and grows Arizona’s economy by keeping SNAP dollars local. Both programs are operated in Arizona by nonprofit Pinnacle Prevention.
Food Bucks Now vouchers are currently available at Roadrunner Market, 200 E Main St. Quartzsite, AZ 85346; open every day, winter hours (Nov-April) 7am-7pm.
