Tracy will be open the same hours as last weekend plus Monday 10 to 5. Asparagus may be in short supply with the cold weather this week, but we have the best salad spinach you can find. If someone doesn't like this spinach, they don't know spinach. With warmer temps coming we may have some surprises for you with other spring crops, hopefully.

Big day Saturday, planted 1st tomatoes and peppers, also eggplant, lettuce, hot peppers and parsley. They had taken rain out of the forecast for today then this morning it's back up to 100% with maybe an inch. That would be perfect. Felt bad for Tracy having to work in the store, she loves transplanting.

Tracy will be open all weekend till 5pm and yes we finally have asparagus.

Sorry for the late notice, just a little busy today. Tracy will be open Saturday 9 to 4. Unfortunately because it's been so fricking cold, we have very little produce...nothing is growing and asparagus has frozen several times. We do have rhubarb, the hydro tomatoes we always get and homegrown potatoes from last fall. We do have tons of great, unique Mothers Day gift ideas. Tracy had a good winter of stocking up on cool treasures. Stop in to visit and check it out. And let's hope it warms up soon.

Things are happening fast lately. Planted the 2nd hoop house today. 9 different varieties, about 300 tomatoes, we buy the best seed we can find and our friends at Hoekstras in Fox Lake start the plants for us. More babysitting.

After looking at the comments, I feel bad. I didn't want sympathy and wasn't complaining...something is always breaking down or needs fixing, it's just part of farming. It seemed like an interesting story to post. The tire dudes were here, removed the antler, got it off the rim, put a patch on the inside, replaced the tube and the liquid, filled it with air and we're good to go. We appreciate everyone's concern and support.

As if the deer don't cost us enough money. When Tracy and I go out looking for sheds we can't find them, but I'm out plowing and this happens.

Anytime I do a 2 row transplanting video it's the same boring scene. Me filming to the rear from the tractor seat cuz I'm always driving. The only exciting part is the good looking people doing the work. Anyway, we did first planting of cole crops...cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts.

Finally got our onions/leeks in the ground this past Tuesday. Plants were here over a week while waiting out the rains. This is how we do 20,000 plants, one at a time. Takes a good 6 hours but it planted great and had a great crew. Come July you'll have fresh sweet Candy onions to enjoy.
