Need a recipe for your luckett farms spinach? Our friend Kylee Arnold | Functional Fat Loss Coach shared this and we can’t wait to try it. 🄰

Ingredients:

* 1 lb Louisiana crawfish tails with the fat
* 1 small onion, chopped
* 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
* 1 package frozen chopped spinach
* 1 can artichoke hearts, chopped
* 8 oz reduced-fat cream cheese
* 1 cup plain yogurt
* 1 cup grated Parmesan, divided
* Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. SautƩ the onion and garlic until softened.
3. Add the crawfish, spinach and artichokes. Continue cooking until most of the excess liquid has cooked off (strain if needed)
4. Reduce the heat and stir in the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, seasonings and half of the Parmesan.
5. Transfer everything to a baking dish and top with the remaining Parmesan.
6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until hot, bubbly and the cheese is melted.

It’s delicious as a dip, but any leftovers are also amazing served over chicken or fish! Let me know if you make it and tag me so I can see! šŸ’œ

šŸ‰šŸŒ¶ļø WHAT COOKING WEDNESDAY! šŸŒ¶ļøšŸ‰
I’ve been thinking about watermelon pepper jelly for WEEKS. And when something gets stuck in my head like that, eventually I have to either make it… or quit talking about it. šŸ˜‚ My friend text me yesterday did you make it yet? No, I seeded up 25 trays of fall veggies yesterday 😳
So, I found a recipe and decided that TODAY might be the day. Emphasis on might. Because apparently I have a farm, screaming children, chores, vegetables transplants everywhere and about 47 other things that need to be done. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚
But watermelon + peppers + sugar + me in the kitchen sounds like a pretty good combination to me! 🤣
Will it be amazing?
Will it be weird?
Will I accidentally make 27 jars because I got carried away?
Only one way to find out! 🤣
Stay tuned. If it’s good, y’all might be seeing it at Luckett Farms Farmstand this fall. If it’s terrible… we will never speak of this again. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Farmers Fridays Q &A
You asked about w**ds and grass in the garden… šŸ˜‚
Hahaha, let’s be real.
The w**ds and grass are part of farm life. Especially in August 🌱
We take the good with the bad around here. Some days we w**d-eat it. Some days we pull it. And some days/ Most days…
We just roll with it. šŸ˜‚
Because at Luckett Farms, we’re growing vegetables—not a perfectly manicured lawn.
A little grass in the field?
A few w**ds between the rows?
Yep. That’s farming.
We do our best to keep things clean and productive, but Mother Nature gets a vote too.
So if you see a w**d in the background of our pictures… just know we saw it too. 🤣
Real farms. Real food. Real life. ā¤ļø

No tomatoes yet, but they are planted for fall! šŸ…Tomatoes don’t stop growing because it’s hot—they stop setting fruit. When Louisiana gets extremely hot, the flowers won’t pollinate properly, so there aren’t many new tomatoes coming on. That’s why summer tomatoes can be hard to find at the farmers market.ā€ šŸ…ā˜€ļø
