Angela's great-great grandfather moved his family and their entire herd of dairy cattle up over the Blue Mountain to Deiberts Valley (along what is now SR-183).

Why make this move? To be closer to the growing markets in the booming Anthracite coal fields. The miners needed food - and back then, that meant farmers - not grocery stores.

🙌Here we are, over one hundred years later, the same family serving our northern Schuylkill County neighbors and communities with the nutritious, farm-raised meats and produce picked at the peak of freshness.

🚜Farmer shout out to our very own farmer and co-founder, Josiah Meck of Honey Brook Farm.

Josiah takes pride in the Berkshire pork raised farrow-to-finish on our farm near Schuylkill Haven. But he doesn't stop at pigs. Honey Brook Farm raises beef, chickens, turkeys, quail, and geese, too! 🐖

🪵Not only is he farming livestock, he's also milling lumber. He has his own Hud-Son sawmill and full industrial woodshop for custom woodworking jobs.

👋Sometimes you might even catch him at The Farm Store making his many deliveries every week to restock. We sell the delicious meat, all raised on pasture, and the fabulous eggs (chicken, quail, geese) also raised on our farm!
