A family owned produce retailer supplying the Hawthorne Community with fresh fruits and vegetables. Welcome to Talarico’s Produce!

We are a family operated produce retail company. We, Myles and Erica Talarico, started Talarico’s Produce because we wanted to create a business that provides those around us with flavorful, quality fruits and vegetables and provides a place to shop that is both fun and convenient. Thus, our farmer’s market style venue. We supply locally grown products when seasonally available, and also supply products from other regions so we can offer variety, quality, and great prices. We operate a full service produce market at the cross streets of 22nd Ave and Hawthorne Blvd.

The Final Few 🍓🫐

Today will be the final call for berries from located in Dayton, OR.

Sweet, fragrant and flavorful, these berries can be enjoyed fresh, frozen, made into jam, pies, syrups, compote and much more. To commemorate a sweet season, we’ll have Albion strawberries and blueberries available for $50 a flat, while supplies lasts.

Welcome to The Pumpkin Patch 🎃

Talarico’s annual pumpkin patch has some very special pumpkins and gourds this spooky season. Our local and California grown pumpkins can be stacked for fa-boo-lous displays, carving jack-o-lanterns, painting or baking.

Mini pumpkins and gourds come in all different shapes and colors. Their size makes them suitable for indoor decor like tabletops and countertops. They stack nicely and make great fillers in larger displays.

White Fiery pumpkin is a flattened disk-shape pumpkin with milky white skin, which contrasts well with their orange counterparts. The white base makes a great background to paint on.

Sugar Pie and Cinderella pumpkins are best for baking and making pumpkin purée. They both have a sweet full bodied pumpkin flavor, smooth texture and are manageable to cut and roast.

Large Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins are the go-to carving pumpkin. Easy to carve with basic tools, they typically weigh between 10-20 pounds making plenty of room for creative pumpkin carving designs.

Ornamental Pumpkins have a tough exterior that can handle stacking and sitting in the cooler autumn weather for several weeks. You can find Warty Goblin pumpkins, slate blue Jarrandale pumpkins, Speckled Hound pumpkin, Porceline pink pumpkin (often put out for breast cancer awareness month) and many more.

The beautiful Lucy Glo

Gold blushing skin and PINK flesh, this apple is often sought out for its aesthetic appeal.

Lucy Glos are a cross between Honey crisp and Airlie Red flesh apples giving them their crisp texture and a jolly rancher-like tart flavor. It’s naturally occurring pink flesh comes from anthocyanin, a pigment also found in berries.

We are excited to start this fall season with an assortment of squash varieties. From roasting, sautéing or blending, each one of these offer their unique properties of nuttiness, sweetness and various textures and colors.

Reddy Robin Pears are an absolute treat!

Also known as “Nashi”, Reddy Robbins are a cross between Japanese and Chinese pear varieties.

They have a distinctive blushing red and gold skin, share the refreshing crisp bite of an apple and host the sweet flavor of a pear.

Best eaten fresh for a satisfying and refreshing autumn delight.

New crop Gala and Honeycrisp apples from Washington.

Gala apples (99¢/lb) : A cross between a Kidds Orange Red and a Golden Delicious. They have a deep red color, thin skin, very sweet and low in acidity. Best for snacking or eaten fresh in a salad. Galas soften when cooked making excellent applesauce or roasted alongside root vegetables in a traditional English pork roast.

Honeycrisp ($1.50/lb) : Crispy, sweet and subtly tart. They are also great for snacking and sturdy enough for cooked applications such as pies or crisps. Fun fact: Honeycrisp was bred to have larger cells which contribute to their signature crisp texture and satisfying snap.
