Want to boost your home cooking skills? Meet up with Chef Arran Stark of Jefferson Healthcare at the Port Townsend Wednesday Farmers Market on June 17 at 3 PM for a market-to-table cooking class!

Shop the market for fresh, seasonal ingredients and bring them back to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Community Kitchen to create a meal together. In the cooking process, you will learn culinary tricks to bring out the nutrition and flavor of farm-direct ingredients and cooking strategies. Sit down to a shared dinner with delicious leftovers to bring home.

Join Wild Child Arts Education Summer Camp instructor Myco for a free kids activity for ages 4+ on June 10 from 3–5 at the Wednesday Port Townsend Farmers Market. Come felt and learn more about their themed kids camps full of crafts, games, water play, berry picking, and outdoor games!

All camps are located in Port Townsend, Chimacum and Sequim. Programs are run at local farms such as Goodness Tea, Kodama Food and Forest Farm, and Mozaic, as well as Swan School, Northwind, and the Port Townsend Marine Science center. Check out Feral Fine Arts for more information.

This activity is part of our Power of Produce Kids' Club, which is designed to encourage healthy eating, trying new farm-grown foods, and to empower children to make their own purchasing decisions. After kids participate in the weekly activity, they will receive $2 in market bucks, good for fresh fruits and veggies at the market. Kids can spend their market bucks weekly or save them up for something exciting like a flat of berries!

Did you know that we have weekly kids' activities? As part of our Power of Produce Kids' Club, kids who participate in our free activities at the Wednesday and Chimacum Farmers Markets earn $2 in market bucks to spend that day or save up for something special!

Our POP Kids' Club activities happen every week at the Wednesday PTFM and on the first Sunday of each month at the Chimacum Farmers Market. Check our events calendar on our website or our weekly newsletter for week-to-week details!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the first Wednesday Port Townsend Farmers Market of the season! The mid-week market kicked off with live music, storytimes, face painting, a chef demo, lawn games, and dogs in costumes — not to mention our amazing vendors serving up fresh produce, pizza, cookies, and much more.

Wednesdays Uptown are about to get way more fun...

The Wednesday Port Townsend Farmers Market opens TODAY! Come by at 3pm for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, community photo, and free dog biscuits for dogs who come in costume.

Here's the schedule of events for opening day:
- 3 PM: Red ribbon cutting — pups welcome!
- 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 PM: Storytime with Amanda Steurer-Zamora (professional actor, director, and realtor) reading The Big Orang Splot — including a giveaway of the book! Brought to you by Bell Tower Brokers
- 4–5 PM: Face Painting with Raven
- 4–5 PM: Spring Stir Fry Chef Demo with Cristian Quiroz
- Whump will be playing music between events

Not to mention our market vendors offering:
- Fresh local produce
- Cookies and baked goods
- Tea
- Flowers
- Beaded jewelry
- Pottery..and more!

A new and extra special addition to the mid-week market this year: our Uptown neighbors are offering special deals on Wednesdays! We encourage you to visit the following businesses when you come to the Wednesday PTFM:

The Wednesday Port Townsend Farmers Market opens this week! Join us on June 3 at 3pm for our Season Opening Celebration. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony, community photo, and activities happening for kids, adults, and pups:
🐶 Dogs are welcome at this market! Dogs who come in costume to our ribbon-cutting at 3pm will receive a free dog biscuit from our lovely vendor, Gatheringplace.
📖 Story time with Bell Tower Brokers at 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30
🌻 Face painting for kiddos is from 4–5pm as part of our POP Kids' Club
🍽️ Spring Stir Fry Chef Demo with local chef Christian Quiroz is from 4–5pm
