📣 Vendor Spotlight: Kathy Dyer

Kathy at Cookie’s Cupcakes grew up as one of 12 children. Her mom baked every single day and helping in the kitchen was how the family spent time together. When Kathy lost her mom in 2007, those memories stayed with her. After raising three boys of her own, Kathy’s husband finally encouraged her to pursue the passion she’d been carrying with her all along!

In 2024, she got her license, joined our Market, and hasn’t looked back. Every Saturday, Kathy shows up with cookies, cupcakes, brownies, cake pops, cinnamon rolls, and whatever other creative treat she comes up with. And honestly, everything is delicious... Our Market Crew has a particular weakness for her cake pops!

Come find Kathy at the Market this Saturday and introduce some purple into your life!

📣 Vendor Spotlight: Sunshine Jewelry

Mary of Sunshine Jewelry brings much more than handmade jewelry to the Pittsfield Farmers Market. She brings a story... a story of place, seasons, and a deep appreciation for the natural world around us.

That story is beautifully captured in the children’s book she authored, The Birds of Mount Ephraim. Birds and the changing seasons are central to the book, and those same themes find their way into the jewelry Mary creates, with many of the birds featured in her book appearing as pieces in her collection.

Sunshine Jewelry is no ordinary market booth. It’s a little world of its own, one that invites you to slow down, look closely, and appreciate the beauty of the natural world. Come visit her booth at the Market this Saturday!

📣 Vendor Spotlight: Crosswalk Coffee

The person behind your morning coffee fix, Nick from Crosswalk Coffee often appears to have four arms as he juggles drink orders with both haste and care.

With a customized coffee cart on wheels, powered around town by Nick’s own pedaling, Crosswalk Coffee is a full-season vendor who literally rolls up in style.

A cornerstone of the Pittsfield Farmers Market for years, Nick offers something so many of us look forward to each week. Whether you’re after a pour-over, latte, cold brew, hot chocolate, tea, or just a friendly smile, Crosswalk Coffee has you covered.

Need a pick-me-up or a hot drink to warm you up? Get your order in and keep on shopping!

📣 Vendor Spotlight: Red Shirt Farm

If you know Red Shirt Farm, you know they don’t do anything halfway. Up in the hills of Lanesborough, Jim, Sarah, and their small, hardworking farm team make the most of every bit of land they have. They’ve built a beautiful Farm Store, grow an incredible range of vegetables, and somehow manage to make their booth at the market one of the easiest to spot.... Red tents. Red tablecloths. Red hoodies. Red Crocs. Red socks. You get the idea.

Underneath all that red, you’ll find some seriously beautiful produce: carrots, greens, peppers, cabbage, cauliflower, tomatoes, eggplant, and more. And if you get there early, keep an eye out for their fresh ginger. It’s so good!

But one of the things we love most about Red Shirt is their long history as a Youth Crew worksite. Over the years, hundreds of teens have spent time in those fields, working alongside Jim and Sarah and learning what it really means to grow food. There have been a lot of Crew highlights at Red Shirt over the years. A lot of muddy boots, hard work, mulch races, and even a few potato beetle competitions.

Come find them under the red tents at the Market this weekend! ❤️

📣 Vendor Spotlight: AshleyAmsden/MichaelGallagher

Ashley and Michael at Square Roots Farm have been part of the Pittsfield Farmers Market since nearly the beginning.

If you’re a regular at the Market, you know the feeling: you walk up to the Square Roots booth and Ashley knows you’re there for your usual. She remembers what you bought last week, asks if you want the same thing again, or knows what you’re likely to be looking for.

These are the little moments that make our farmers market a real community!

Every Saturday, Ashley stocks her booth with pasture-raised chicken, 100% grass-fed beef, pork, turkey, lamb, fresh eggs, and beautiful bouquets, all raised and grown on their farm in Lanesborough. And yes, the chicken sausages really are as good as everyone says!

Come find Square Roots Farm at the Market this Saturday!

📣 Vendor Spotlight: Stephen’s Pen Turnings

There are many things that make Stephen’s Pen Turnings stand out. Steve is a true maker, dedicated to his craft and always happy to talk about his pen-making process.

He also has insightful motivations: he finds magic in writing and wants to encourage everyone else to discover that magic too. With his expertly crafted pens, Steve hopes to force one’s hand (🥁) right onto the paper.

If you’re looking for that last little nudge to get you to start journaling, taking notes by hand, or writing your next short story, pop on over to the market tomorrow!

📣 Vendor Spotlight: Maria Art

Looking for some wearable art to set you apart? The distinctive pieces from La Maria, a collaboration of Ecuadorian artists Marco and Maria, will do exactly that.

They’ve got rings, necklaces, earrings, and a whole assortment of curiously beautiful objects ready to be eyed. As full season vendors for the past 2 years, La Maria brings with them a wonderful and kind energy each Saturday and their love for their work can be seen in their creativity, unique use of color and materials, and deep gratitude for the present. They offer an ever-revolving selection, so make sure to say hi and check out what they’ve got! At the very least you’ll leave with a big smile matched only by the artists themselves.
