Excited to be opening our new farmers market store in Pittsfield soon!

That’s me in the photo — a real farmer living the everyday real farm life . We’re bringing authentic, hard-working farm values and fresh products straight to your community and from your community.

We’re committed to earning your trust as a reliable local business and look forward to becoming part of the Pittsfield community.

We continue to move things along inside the store in hopes we are able to open later next month. I will be posting updates so you are able to see the progress in real time.

This is why we can’t have nice things. Yep, that’s a fly on my face.

🚜 Pittsfield — We’re bringing the real stuff.

We’ve been farming and raising cattle for a living for over 60 years. This is not a hobby — it’s our life. We know what it takes to raise good food because we do it every day for our family and yours.

That’s why we’re opening this store in Pittsfield. We’re not just random people putting together a cute farmers market. We’re multi-generation farmers who truly understand what it takes. We live it every single day.

We want this to be a place where other hardworking producers — farmers, ranchers, and growers just like us — can get their products in front of more families.

Here’s what real farm work looks like — cutting bulls into steers with our 6-year-old daughter Hunter Olivia right there helping out.

We’re ready to bring the real stuff to Pittsfield soon.

Thank you for all the amazing inquiries and excitement — we’re overwhelmed by the support!

We’re taking our time to open efficiently and do it right — buttoning up our local producers so opening day is perfect. Realistically aiming for about 2 months (sooner if possible, but quality first).

This will be your Pike County producer hub and community spot. Can’t wait!

Hello everyone!

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve officially closed on our new location right on the square in downtown Pittsfield!

Many of you from Pittsfield have been loyal customers at our Riggston store and have asked us for years to bring The Witty Farmer closer to home. We listened — and we’re bringing the same model you know and love: fresh, locally sourced meats, produce, and goods.

We’ll be using this page for all updates on the new store — progress photos, construction updates, opening dates, and more. We’d love for you to follow along as we get ready to open our doors.

We’re also looking for a few more local producers (especially for fresh produce and jams/jellies-made in a commercial kitchen) to join us. If you or someone you know would be a great fit, please send us a message — we’d love to hear from you.

This is just the beginning. We have more locations coming soon, and we’re excited to grow with the communities that have supported us from the start.
