Hey Goshen Farmers Market Customers!

It's with much consideration and some partial disappointment we have to announce that we will be coming home from the market for the remainder of the year.

After taking inventory of our stored crops and crops growing in the field we have determined that we simply don't have the variety that we want to bring to you on a weekly basis.

We have had a wonderful season and enjoyed serving you with fresh vegetables, plants and baked goods since May.

This year has also brought the addition of a little one to our family who in no small part led to a year of being chronically behind in our planting schedules. That reality has left us in late fall with not as many crops growing as we would have liked.

That said we wouldn't change a thing and thank you all for understanding that life and farming goes how it goes and family comes first.

We will continue to supply some produce to remaining producers at the market and look forward to seeing what spring brings!

Buying local meat does a few things:
-Gives you peace of mind about where your food comes from. Meat in the grocery store comes from multiple sources, could have been in contact with any number of bacterias, and handled by many people.
-Meat is conveniently located in your freezer for when you need a quick meal

If you've been following us a while, you know we love bone broth! It's so easy to make and it offers so many more nutrients than boxed broth from the store.

We are running a SALE on chicken frames, which is what we recommend using for making bone broth! Chicken frames are the bones of a chicken with some meat left from after pieces are cut off by the butcher. We make delicious broth using the frames and want to share with you at a discounted price!

The details:
-Each package is $5 and this includes two chicken frames which works for two standard/small size soup pots or a large soup pot
-Message to place an order!
-Pick up in Goshen on our farm or in Pittsboro
-We provide an instruction sheet on how we make broth as well as give you the link to some videos we have recorded about how to make great bone broth!

Shop local and know your farmer. It's so important to buy good meat for the health of your family, and to support small family farms for the health of our community.

Hi, we are the Smith family and we raise pastured poultry right here in Goshen Indiana. Our chickens are fed non-GMO feed and live on an organically grown hay field the majority of their life. We take great pride in being a local source for quality meat, and we would love to supply you with chicken!

We are currently offering whole chickens for $25 each. Our whole birds sell out FAST so if you want to place an order, send us a message!
-Each finished bird is 4.5-5.5lbs and is in a shrink seal bag ready for your freezer.
-We collect a 50% downpayment with the remaining balance due at pick up.
-These chickens will be ready the week of August 5th.

Have you been seeing posts about lab grown meat in your social media feed? We have. It's something we want nothing to do with! It's so important to fuel your body with nutritious food, and unfortunately commercial food chains are not reliable. Buying local means you can personally call the person who raised your chicken with any questions at any time and get an honest answer.
We are so excited and passionate about raising chickens in a way that feeds our community with high quality meat!
Our chickens are fed non-GMO feed and raised on a organically grown hay field which gives them a complex diet and extra nutrients. They are treated ethically while they are in our care and we take a lot of pride in our finished product.

We have a limited number of chickens available to claim for pick up August 5th! They are $25 per chicken and average 4.5lb-5.5lbs each. Pick up in Pittsboro or Goshen.

I have 50 whole chickens available for pre-order! These go super fast, so message me if you want them.

$25/chicken and they are between 4.5-5.5lbs each. Our chickens are fed non-GMO feed and raised on pasture in our non-sprayed hay field! You pay 50% up front and the remaining balance at pick up. The chickens will be given to you frozen in a shrink wrapped package.

It's time to order plants from your favorite local farm!

We want to make sure you get the plants you're looking for, so we are opening up a pre-order for our organically grown heirloom tomatoes, as well as organically grown peppers, broccoli, and cabbages.

Message us with any questions you may have about the varieties we're offering this year! When you're ready to order, just send us a message with what you'd like and we will send you a payment link to hold your plants. We anticipate that plants will be ready for pick up the weekend of May 18-19.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are going to be away from the for the next 4 weeks!
This wasn't our original plan but with our stored produce waning and a baby getting very close to arrival we've decided to take the short break.

We will be back!
The last week of April (unless the baby 👶 make its appearance) we will be back to the market with all your spring plants and greens!

We want to thank all our customers who have made the 2023 - 2024 season great and we will see you in a few weeks!
