This week we had another wonderful evening on the porch at Plank Road Tap Room! ✨💐

We are so grateful to use this charming porch as one of our Summer Bouquet Subscription pickup locations. There really is something magical happening there, and we seem to meet only the nicest humans every time we visit.

Thank you, Plank Road Tap Room, for giving us such a beautiful place to gather, connect, and share a little flower joy during the summer months.

East Dundee, thank you for showing up and making it such a fun and memorable evening! It was wonderful meeting so many new faces and reconnecting with so many friendly, familiar ones. ❤️

We hope to see you all again soon!🍷💐

Flowers carry a lot of feelings. It is often that people share with us that the flowers they purchase are for a celebration or a gift. They say things like “this is for a birthday” or “I’m gifting this to say thank you” to someone that made a difference in their life. We also hear “this is to me, from me” which always makes me smile!

This bouquet was for a memorial service for a very special baby girl. I sobbed while putting these flowers together. I couldn’t just post about this pretty bouquet without mentioning her. I don’t even know this sweet family but I was able to hear a snippet of their story. I was able to see a photo of the beautiful little girl that didn’t have a fair shot at life. I cannot imagine the weight of losing a child. My heart goes out to anyone that has experienced such a terrible loss💕💔.

🌻🐇Let’s take a moment to appreciate a time when the bunnies did NOT eat an entire succession of sunflowers!🌻🐇

The type of sunflowers we plant are a “one and done” kind of plant. Each seed produces one beautiful bloom for us to cut and bring to the market. That means we have to keep planting sunflower seeds all season long to keep them blooming for you!

You know who else loves sunflowers…BUNNIES! I am always fighting with those fluffy little devils. They love to nibble the sunflowers as they are just coming up🫠🌱.

So when you see us with a lot of sunnies, it means the bunnies were kind to us 60 days ago😂! That’s about how long it takes for each sunflower to make it from seed to bouquet.

Gotta celebrate the wins, am I right? 🌻🌱🐇💕

Those of you battling deer and rabbits…keep fighting the good fight. Sometimes you will win!
