Cold weather can make joints stiff and movement uncomfortable.

Here are 3 simple ways to support your horse’s joint health this winter:

1ļøāƒ£ Keep them moving: gentle daily activity keeps joints lubricated.
2ļøāƒ£ Maintain safe, dry areas: reduce risk of slips or added strain.
3ļøāƒ£ Support from within: quality joint supplements help maintain mobility and comfort.

šŸ’›Consistency and care make all the difference.

Four candles were burning softly in a quiet room.
The air was so still that you could actually hear them speak.

The first candle said,
ā€œI am Peace… but people don’t know how to keep me alive. I don’t see any point in burning any longer.ā€
And slowly, its flame went out.

The second candle whispered,
ā€œI am Faith… but I’ve become meaningless to so many. People don’t want to hear about me anymore, so there’s no reason for me to stay lit.ā€
A gentle breeze passed through the room, and the second flame disappeared.

The third candle spoke sadly,
ā€œI am Love. I no longer have the strength to keep burning. People don’t value me… they don’t even understand me. They turn away from love and often hurt the very ones who love them the most.ā€
And with that, the third candle flickered and went out.

Suddenly, a little boy walked into the room.
Seeing the three extinguished candles, he cried out in fear,
ā€œWhat are you doing!? You’re supposed to stay lit! I’m scared of the dark!ā€ Tears filled his eyes.

Then the fourth candle spoke gently,
ā€œDon’t be afraid and don’t cry. As long as I am burning, you can relight the other candles. Because I am Hope.ā€

✨ May the flame of Hope always burn bright in your heart.

The Jewish Karnoffsky family, who had emigrated from Lithuania to the United States, once took pity on a little seven-year-old boy living in deep poverty on the streets of New Orleans. They invited him into their home. At first, they gave him small chores so he could earn his meals.

But their kindness went far beyond that. The Karnoffskys became a safe haven for the boy — the first real home he’d ever known. For the first time in his life, he experienced warmth, care, and love. Mrs. Karnoffsky would sing lullabies to him, and he, enchanted by her kindness, would hum along. Together, they sang Yiddish and folk songs. That was the moment when his love for music was born.

The family didn’t just treat him like one of their own; they also helped him buy his very first musical instrument — a cornet. They saw something special in him, a natural gift, and supported his earliest steps as a musician. That simple instrument became the beginning of his extraordinary journey.

Growing up around the Karnoffskys, he absorbed the values and traditions of Jewish culture, and those influences stayed with him for life. Many of the melodies he later played carried echoes of the songs he’d heard in their home. His legendary performances of pieces like ā€œSaint James Infirmaryā€ and ā€œGo Down, Mosesā€ reflect that rich, multicultural heritage.

Years later, as an adult, Louis Armstrong wrote about the Karnoffskys in his memoir. He shared how they had shown him love, acceptance, and dignity when he had none. He even learned Yiddish and wore the Star of David throughout his life — as a symbol of gratitude and respect for the family that believed in him.

Louis often said it was the Karnoffskys who helped him not only discover his talent but also see the world through the lens of kindness, resilience, and hope. Their faith in him gave him faith in himself.

He went on to become one of the greatest musicians in history — a founding father of jazz and an icon of American culture. His story is a powerful reminder of how the love and generosity of one family can change a life… and give the world a legend.

One time I met a man
Who only had a month to live
And I asked him if he had
Any advice that he could give

He said ā€œI wake each morning
Knowing I am going to die
So each day must remind me
I am blessed to be alive

You see, my life’s on countdown
As each hour is unfurled
I know the clock is ticking
On my time here in this world

But what you’re overlooking
Is that it’s the same for you -
You know that I am dying
But forget that you are too

So make the most of sunshine
And go dancing in the rain
And sing a little louder
When your favourite music plays

Notice nature’s colours,
Savour everything you taste
Stop waiting for tomorrow
ā€˜Cause you’ve got no time to waste

And could you say convincingly
That you’d have no regrets?
If just the next few days or weeks
Were all that you had left?ā€

And then my breath caught quickly
When he turned to me and asked
ā€œCould you say that you died happy
If this day had been your last?ā€
