This place was never just about groceries. It was about people, families, familiar faces, and the community that walked through our doors year after year.

And as one chapter closes, another begins. McCaffrey’s opens on Monday, and we are excited to welcome them into this wonderful community.

For 66 years, Pennington Quality Market has been more than a grocery store—it has been a place where friendships were built, traditions were celebrated, and memories were made.

In this final message, Mike Rothwell reflects on what PQM has meant to him while honoring the legacy of his father, Larry Rothwell, whose values, dedication, and love for the community helped make PQM the special place it became.

Thank you for allowing the Rothwell family to be part of your lives for so many years. While this chapter is ending, the memories and Larry's legacy will live on forever.

Our last day is this Saturday, June 13.

As we get ready to say goodbye, we invite you to stop in, take a look around, and walk through the memories with us.

Our memory boards are now up throughout the store, filled with photos, moments, familiar faces, celebrations, holidays, fundraisers, and so many pieces of the Pennington Quality Market story.

For 66 years, this store has been more than aisles and registers. It has been friendships, conversations, family traditions, familiar smiles, and a community that made PQM feel like home.

While this goodbye is bittersweet, we are excited for the McCaffrey family to take over and reopen on June 15. We know the store will continue to serve this wonderful community in its next chapter.

Please stop in, take a moment to look around, and share in these memories with us one more time.
