We’ve been a little quiet over here lately, but that’s only because we’ve been busy! 🐐🌱

Life on the farmstead has been full of all the good things—keeping the animals out of the ducks’ newly upgraded house (seriously, everyone needs to see the upgrades 😂), farm projects, gardening, baking homemade goodies in the kitchen, hosting harvest guests who quickly turned into friends, enjoying play dates, and soaking up precious time with Dad while he was in town visiting.

And as if that wasn’t enough excitement, we also somehow ended up adopting a few kittens! 🐱❤️

The days have been full, the to-do list never seems to get shorter, and the laundry pile is definitely winning, but we wouldn’t trade this season for anything. It’s messy, busy, beautiful, and exactly the kind of life we’ve been working toward.

Thanks for sticking around while we’ve been a little quieter than usual. We’ve got lots to share and can’t wait to catch you up on all the farmstead happenings! 🌻🚜

🐔😂 When your chickens start squatting in the duck house because they’re jealous of the upgrade the ducks got!

Apparently the ducks have the nicer real estate now, and the chickens have decided they’re moving in without permission. 🤣🏡🦆

Garden Update!!

🌱 The garden is finally starting to produce, and we couldn’t be more excited! The kids (and especially me 😊) are loving seeing the fruits of our labor come to life.

So far we’ve harvested a few zucchini and some string beans. The butternut squash is looking plentiful, the loofahs are beginning to take off, and this weekend we moved the sweet potatoes from pots into the ground. Michael even planted an entire row of beets all by himself!

There’s something so rewarding about watching months of work, patience, and care begin to pay off. We’re soaking up every minute of it and looking forward to all that’s still to come. 🌿💚

I knew the goats and pigs could eat up grass pretty quickly, but I was so excited to see what they’d do with some thick brush we wanted cleared. Look at this before and after — amazing!! 🤯

I’m officially a believer now… goats and pigs are seriously the ultimate land-clearing duo! Nature’s little bulldozers 😂 clearing bulldozers

A little after-homeschool lesson fun with some new friends! The kids got their hands dirty, made sweet memories, and learned a few gardening skills along the way… me too honestly 😂💚 Nothing better than sunshine, fresh air, and watching them learn through play.
