We're excited to be back at the Lakes Area Farmers Market tomorrow for the start of our season! We don't have a wide variety of produce available yet due to the cool dry spring we've had but we'll have dried herbs, beans, peppers, and rhubarb and will be happy to chat about what's coming up this summer so make sure to stop by and say hello!

Yesterday was a highly productive day with many crops getting direct seeded such as beans, corn, and beets. And then we got to test out our new overhead irrigation system which looks like it's gonna be much more efficient than our previous system. Things are starting to happen fast in the field!

We've had a busy week on the farm! We got all of our onions and potatoes planted along with direct seeding the first round of salad greens. On top of that we also finished up all of our transplanting in the greenhouse and built a new chicken coop. Now we are patiently waiting for some rain!

Artichoke is not something you typically think of being grown in Minnesota but last year we did a little experiment with a few plants just to see what would happen. It grew well and we were able to harvest a little for ourselves to eat. This year we are hoping to grow enough to bring to the market and so far it's off to a great start! The grow room is starting to fill up fast!

It's hard to believe but it's time to order seeds and plants for 2026 already! A snow day is perfect for paging through catalogs. Every year we like to try growing something new, we are thinking about artichoke, horseradish and maybe gold raspberries. What's something you would like us to try or something you'd like to see more of from us? No wrong answers!

Hello! Last call on some produce before we put the field to rest. We are working on our final harvest of most things such as squash, baking pumpkins, kale, chard, and green onions and leeks. All perfect for freezing and enjoying throughout the winter! We also have some recently butchered chickens and guineas left. Products and prices are in the last picture. One thing I forgot to put on the board is herbs - thyme, oregano and sage. Available for on farm pick up or can meet in DL or Pelican. Shoot us a message on here or a text/call if you'd like something. Thanks for supporting us through another great growing season!

It's soup Saturday at the Lakes Area Farmers Market today so be sure to stop out and do some taste testing! We had a freeze this week so it is the last haul of our warm season crops like peppers and ground cherries but our cool season crops such as leafy greens and strawberries are thriving!
