I have only succeeded in growing fig plants. I have yet to harvest a single fig but instead of being defeated yet again I tried making fig leaf syrup. Yes, it’s made with cane sugar and the flavor is unique: coconutty? I also infused spices in some just for fun! Anise is good in it! Add to tea or hot drinks or cold drinks or drizzle on pancakes or hot cereal. It’s sweet!

Plant medicine takes time. Preparing in advance is the key for being ready and not having to run to the pharmacy at midnight for a remedy.

Here’s one of my favorites: elderberry honey made from fresh ozark elderberries.

After fermenting (infusing) for two weeks I strain off the liquified honey and elderberry juice.

I use it for sore throats and boosting immunity when others around me have colds. It’s easy for kids to take and tastes wonderful.

Last night I went outside barefoot and without any of my bug spray on, thinking I would only be out a few minutes and was safe...nope. I had a half dozen bites, so I applied my Sheild & Soothe and within about 15 minutes, the itching ceased and I went to bed. This AM, every bite is gone. I LOVE this aspect of my formula! &Soothe

I have had lots of people ask how long it takes for a mosquito bite to go away. I didn't spray today before I went out to water, by hand, the plants that needed it most. I didn't think there could possibly even be mosquitoes with the drought, but sure enough, some found me (I'm a magnet) and I had three bites. I sprayed this bite on my arm when I came in at 5:07. It was already swelling up and itched. I tried to ignore it and within about 10 minutes I no longer felt the itch and here is a photo 2 hours later. No itch. No welt.
