Life on the farm is never dull and unfortunately today was no different! The morning started with irrigation of several fields and the afternoon included hail.

How did we make out? Unfortunately both greenhouses have holes from the large hail, some field tomatoes were snapped in half, zucchini is beat up and everything else seems good so far. We will certainly know more tomorrow!

What does this mean? We may have less first quality tomatoes this season and with every other variable we are contending with (fuel & fertilizer prices) pricing may need to change so we are able to open our doors not only this year but next year too.

What can you do? Continue to support us and other farms. Take the extra time out of your day to shop local. It does make a difference and we look forward to your support again this season!

A busy day transplanting the 2nd planting of field tomatoes! The 1st planting already has blossoms and it looks like the greenhouse tomatoes are ripening. Potatoes, peppers, and eggplant, and corn are all growing! Just a few short weeks and we will be open for the 2026 season!

It's farm season, and farm equipment often moves slowly and may make wide or unexpected turns, so giving tractors extra space helps everyone stay safe. A moment of impatience can easily lead to a crash, especially on narrow rural roads shared by many types of vehicles. By slowing down, staying alert, and being courteous, motorists can help ensure farmers get their work done safely and everyone gets home without incident.

A busy time here on the farm…we removed the floating row cover from the corn and as the pictures show it is taller where it was covered!

The first planting of outdoor tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and flowers have been transplanted into the field. We will transplant 2 more times for our tomatoes to ensure we have them as late in the season as possible.

While we are still waiting to see the cold weather damage to our apples and the early corn we still remain hopeful and continue to prepare for the opening of our farm stand on July 1st!
