School was out. Nana was all in. The rainbow trout had a problem. 🎣

Wilder and his Nana drove over an hour to fish in the rain, arriving with enough energy to power the place. Their biggest catch? 22.5 inches!

Rain can wash insects into the water and encourage trout to feed. Basically, a snack delivery. 🐛🌧️

Suzie and her husband brought their grandsons fishing today. The boys learned the trick: go slow, enjoy the splashing, and let the trout put up a fight. 💪🏻

Then one of them shouted “Fish on!” loud enough that we may still be hearing it tomorrow. 😄

The freezer is doing all of the heavy lifting around here. 🦐

Wild-caught Gulf shrimp, lobster tails, crab legs, crab rangoon, Rushing Waters salmon burgers…even dessert.

And if you make it past the freezer, there’s smoked trout spread, sauces and crackers, Rushing Waters apparel, and fishing log books. Good luck leaving with just one thing. 😄
