Good afternoon everyone! Hope yall have had a decent Friday 13th. My day started out upgrading our new chicks to craftroom pool. We have China (our Chinese goose (1st timer)) on some of her eggs and she stole some duck eggs. Yay more little ones. Due to 2ft-3ft of snow coming and negative we are making sure they will be safe and warm. Now to make some maple & walnut syrup. Have a good day to stay busy inside.
Have a good blizzard weekend everyone!

Good morning. The day has started off well here on the homestead. I'm enjoying a morning coffee while watching the ducks and geese walk towards the creek. Our lead duck, a wild Mallard drake that stayed through the winter, is a source of entertainment. A Canadian goose joined us as well but prefers to wait outside the coop for the morning let out rather than cohabiting with the other birds. 🤣
So a good question this morning for the group
Have others had wild birds join and remain with their domestic flock?

The wild Mallard is the little duck sitting at the coop entrance in the pic!

What types of animals are people planning to bring to our first swap event? (the picture is for attention only)
