Come Plant 3,000 Garlic Bulbs With Us at Bonz Beach Farms this TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20th! 🧄

That's right, 3,000 garlic bulbs! We've got a whole lot of garlic to get in the ground, and we'd love to have some extra hands join us!

This Tuesday, October 20th, we're inviting anyone who wants to get their hands dirty, learn something new, and spend a day on the farm to come help us plant next year's garlic crop!

Whether you're an experienced gardener or have never planted a clove of garlic in your life, you're welcome to join us. We'll show you how we plant our garlic, share a few tips we've learned along the way, and hopefully get all 3,000 bulbs in the ground!

🥪 Lunch is on us! We'll provide lunch for everyone who comes out to lend a hand.

This is a great opportunity to learn a little about growing your own food, meet some new people, and see what goes into producing the garlic we sell at our farm market.

We've been made aware of *so much* this past week. Town, city, and county lines don't determine who your neighbors are.

There's a family of 13 right over in Wolverine (11 children under age 14) who haven't had a spot to rest at night.

AN EVENING OF LAUGHTER TO HELP THE 211 BAR & GRILL!

When tragedy strikes a small community like Onaway, it's incredible to see how people - near and far - have come together to help and/or lend a hand.

Following the devastating fire that destroyed the 211 Bar & Grill building, we continue to be *OVERWHELMED* by the generosity of people wanting to help the Pasella family and their employees.

Now, a wonderful group from downstate Michigan is stepping up!

The Fine Arts Society of Detroit is bringing its hilarious comedy, "The Therapist," to the Cheboygan Opera House on Saturday, October 24th, and has generously offered to donate a portion of the show's proceeds to help support the owners of 211 Bar & Grill and our community!

They specifically mentioned how warm and inviting the Cheboygan community received them two years ago when they performed "Escanaba in da Moonlight"!

NEIGHBORS: It's time to show up for the people of 211 Bar & Grill. [PLEASE SHARE]

Overnight on October 6th and 7th, a fire tore through and burned the entire restaurant. THANKFULLY no one was injured! The building is a total loss, and the business will be completely halted. For a place that has meant so much to neighbors and visitors alike, this loss is deeply felt close to home. The owners live less than a football field away, and the restaurant itself is only about a quarter mile west of the farm.

The Black Lake area shines because of people like Jeremy & Becky Pasella, their employees, and all the effort they put into creating a truly wonderful experience at The 211. Everyone knows how great The 211 is, from the Fried Cod & the garlic bulb appetizer to the Salad Bar, Mikey's BBQ Ribs, and Becky's delicious homemade soups.

And we all know of Christine's UNMATCHED service! Mikey is constantly guaranteeing guests are having a wonderful time & his smoked BBQ ribs can't be beat (and neither can Angie's meatloaf!)... JT is one of the most polite people you will EVER meet. There are many, many more names that make the 211 Bar & Grill so great — from the bussers to the cooks to the bartenders to the servers.

As neighbors, Bonz Beach Farms believes it would be unacceptable to sit by and wait for insurance decisions while this family business and its workers face such a difficult moment. How we as neighbors respond to times like these is why America is as great as it is. Because while we may get knocked down - we will not be kept down. Even the forests come back stronger and more vibrant than ever after the most devastating wildfires.

The same will be true for the people of The 211 Bar & Grill.

Hey Maple Nuts!
I get stupid excited when I get my delivery from Bonz Beach Farms and I’m trying their maple granola for the first time. It’s delicious just like I expected it would be! Mainly, I’m all about the maple sugar and the syrup. Pure Maple Syrup has gut health benefits. Did you know that?

What would it taste like to bring together two forests from two different countries?

One grows high in the mountains of Guatemala. The other surrounds our farm in Onaway, Michigan.

The coffee in this bundle comes from the mountain forests where our friend Daniela’s family grows coffee in Guatemala. Volcanic soil, tropical rains, and high elevations help give the beans their distinctive flavor.

Daniela and her husband, Ivan, eventually moved to Onaway to open a business and build a new life here—but they brought a piece of her family’s home with them through their coffee.
