It's going to be a gorgeous day just like yesterday, with less wind. Come and take your photos, for your Christmas cards and fall greeting cards, let the kids enjoy the straw bale maze, read the funny tombstones in our haunted graveyard, and browse over 10,000 pumpkins on 1 & 1/4 acres .

We have straw bales and wood pallets for sale.
The straw bales are 2 for $20, wood pallets are $4 each.

Beautiful fall weather is finally here. Come visit the pumpkin patch and enjoy Oklahoma city's largest selection and variety of Jack O'Lanterns and heirloom pumpkins. In addition to 10,000+ pumpkins on display, we have a straw bale maze and a fun graveyard. Lots and lots of pretty picture places. In addition to all the pumpkins we have straw bales. We also have some wooden pallets if you're interested in that!

Here's a quick summary of our teacher Tuesday event from last tuesday.

We had 220+ teachers and surrogates come to the pumpkin patch and pick up pumpkins for their school classes. We had 34 different schools represented. We sent 5400+ pumpkins to the classrooms for the kids.

Attached is a picture of some of the teachers loading up into their pickup truck.

Our normal open hours are Monday through Friday noon to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 3:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. we are closed when it is storming. You can always text before you drive out and make sure we are open depending on the weather where you are.

THE FAIRY TALE PUMPKIN
a classic heirloom winter squash (Cucurbita moschata) dating back to the late 1800s or earlier. It gets its whimsical name from its striking resemblance to the enchanted carriage from the Cinderella fairy tale.

Key Characteristics

• Appearance: They feature a deeply lobed, heavily scalloped shape that mimics a large wheel of aged cheese. They start dark green and ripen into a rich, rustic coppery-tan or buckskin color at full maturity.
• Size & Weight: These are substantial, medium-to-large pumpkins that typically average 15 to 20 pounds and measure about 12 to 18 inches in diameter.
• Flesh & Taste: The interior boasts a dense, fine-textured, deep red-orange flesh with a very small seed cavity. It has a highly prized flavor profile that is sweet, mild, and complex with a subtle hint of spice.
• Culinary & Ornamental Uses: Highly versatile, they are considered excellent for baking, roasting, and making creamy soups or pies due to their smooth, stringless consistency. Because of their unique look, they are also highly sought after for elegant autumn porch displays.
• Storage Life: They have a fantastic shelf life and can easily be cured and stored in a cool, dry room for 3 to 4 months.
• Maturity: Fairytale pumpkins require a longer growing season, taking roughly 90 to 110 days (and up to 120 days in cooler climates) to mature from seed to harvest.

We are welcoming all the Oklahoma City area school teachers to the pumpkin patch at the lot today. Pre-k through 5th grade teachers can take home a few pumpkins for their class, while supplies last. Teachers or surrogates representing the teacher will need a photo of the teacher school ID, the name of the school, the grade, and the number of students.

Also joining us today will be BUZZED BEAN COFFEE with their famous iced lattes, HOBBY FARMS with cinnamon rolls, pecan nut rolls, caramel apple rolls, sourdough bagels and sourdough bread, and the world famous sourdough brownies, and CHEF JUSTIN with his famous gumbo and chili.

We are offering all of our local OKC area credentialed teachers an heirloom pumpkin to take back to their school and show in their classroom. Also, if you're pre-k through 5th grade teacher, we have small miniature pumpkins for your classroom students, while supplies last. If you as a teacher cannot make it by the pumpkin patch anytime during the day or before we close on 10/13/26, you can send a surrogate or parent or teaching associate as long as they have a school photo ID or a picture of the teacher's ID on their phone, with the name of the school the grade level and the number of students. This free offering is limited as a one-day only event as our way to help support our local schools and teachers.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING BOXES TUBS AND CONTAINERS.

(IT'S A SHORT STORY)
Once upon a time, a large, bright orange pumpkin named Peter decided he was tired of just sitting around the patch waiting for October. He wanted to experience the finer things in life. Seeing all the fashionable people walking by with clear plastic cups, he decided to visit the local gourmet coffee shop to see what the fuss was about.

Peter rolled himself through the front door, waited patiently in line, and finally hopped up onto the counter. He looked the barista dead in the eye and said, "I’d like a large, extra-shot, iced pumpkin spice latte with oat milk, please."

The barista stopped dead in his tracks, dropped his sharpie, and stared at Peter in absolute horror.
"What's the matter?" Peter asked, adjusting his stem. "Is the ice machine broken?"

The barista swallowed hard, pointed a trembling finger at Peter, and whispered, "Sir... around here, we don't call that a luxury coffee. We call that cannibalism!"

Peter gasped, rolled right off the counter, and bolted out the door, shouting, "I knew I should have just stuck to a cold brew!"

SPEAKING OF COLD BREW...... PUMPKIN PATCH IS PLEASED TO HOST BUZZED BEAN ICED COFFEES..... AT THE PATCH. THEY WILL ALSO BE HERE TOMORROW. ALL KINDS OF FLAVORS TWO NUMEROUS TO MENTION BUT THE ONE I HAD WAS ICED MOCHA COFFEE AND IT WAS FANTASTIC!
