Keep an 👁️ eye out over the weekend as we will need you to vote on the best costume for the Adult and Kids categories. 🏆 There were SO many amazing costumes you won’t want to miss.

We will be sharing more footage from our final Spooktacular Halloween Farmers Market with soon but the veil is thin and the night is calling. 🌖

Thank you to for bringing the ukealicious vibes to the market! Opening up the set with a song dedicated to the land was very special. RAD always bring brightness to every performance! ☀️🪩✨ Book for your next event!

Lara’s Indian Cuisine shared a traditional dessert to celebrate Diwali 🕯️ with OCFM vendors. Spooky vibes 🎃 peeking through the veil with folks in costume and adorning themed jewelry over at .and.crust . delicious concoction of cider and ginger beer was autumnal effervescence we didn’t know we needed! was a smash (literally and figuratively)! Thank you to Jude Mariah for leading the Remembrance Box/Personal Altar workshop in honor of Dia De Los Mu***os 💀

Thank you to all of those who continue to show up to our market, are excited by the ways we try to lively up the market and for those who provide their feedback on ways we can improve the market experience! 🙏🏾

Much gratitude to for a very special performance last night. We are blessed in Sonoma County to be surrounded by amazing musicians who, like Maz (who normally performs all over the world for large festivals), are excited to share their musical talents with the Occidental Farmers Market community. 🙏🏾 So grateful! 🎶

Not only do we have great musicians but we have amazing local farmers, chefs, artists, makers and more. In these times where being connected to your neighbors and immediate community is increasingly important, I urge you all to continue to come out Thursdays from 4pm to 7:30pm through October 30th. The season will be gone before we know it so come experience the magic of Occidental Community Farmers Market. 🌲 🍄 ❤️

🌈 Thankful for the rainbow connection at the market last night! 🌧️

It cost us multiple pots of gold but it was worth it 😂 especially to remind you about .pride annual OUT in the Woods happening next Saturday, September 27th!
There will be an amazing line up! Check out all the tagged artists, wineries, vendors and more!

is also celebrating a new exhibition “Body Lingual” opening TONIGHT so be sure to stop by and dance dance dance 🪩 to awesome tunes. 🎶

WOW! Just when you thought our market couldn’t get more special we are blessed with a double rainbow 🌈 🌈 and gentle rain 🌧️ with the sweet smell of petrichor. Thank you to all of our hard working vendors who bring uplifting energy and all the market goodies, our community who continually shops local at our market, for the amazing performance, those who made some artful zines at our community collage table, and to OCFM intern Angelina for all of her hard work! 💪

Thank you to , the OAEC team, James Pelican, the entire Chautauqua Production team, artists and performers, and the volunteer team for a magical, deeply moving and hilarious wild ride of an evening last night! ✨ 🤡 🌼

If you’ve never been to OAEC or experienced this annual event, I encourage you to attend and hang on for the adventure. There were deep belly laughs 😂, sense of solidarity ✊🏾, vulnerable storytelling ❤️, stinging satire 🐝, awe inspiring feats of physical and creative talent 🤸🤹‍♂️, and so much more. The walk through OAEC’s garden 🌻 and the incredible starry night 🌖 ✨ is yet another bonus.

Last performance is tonight, Sept 13th! Get your tickets NOW and treat yourself to the power of this collective creative spirit.

Obon Celebration 2025 🏮

🫶🏾 We did it! We showed up for one another to celebrate and weave another common thread amongst us all as part of our Public Art series sponsored by . Mark your calendar for Sept 4th which will be our final themed farmers market as part of our Common Threads Art series culminating in our HARVEST FESTIVAL 🍅 🌽 🍉

Words cannot express the immense gratitude impressed by seeing our community coalesce to learn, celebrate language and culture, express through art, song and dance collectively, sharing stories and memories of times gone by, loved ones and prayers for our past and future ancestors. These beautiful photographs by photographers Eddie Renteria ( .mordrake) and Hiro Sogi () are a testament to the power and impact of our community when many come together as one.

YOU are the most magical part of our market. Without the community showing up, buying fruits, veggies and flowers 💐 🥕 🍓, supporting farmers 👩‍🌾, treating themselves to art 🎨 and wellness services like massage 💆🏾, dinner al fresco 🥘 , there wouldn’t be a market.
