New buds are popping, bulb blossoms are blooming, a chorus of frogs can be heard some nights, spring is on the way! Here we are putting in new garden beds, starting seeds, and looking forward to this year's growing season. If you have any requests for things you'd like to see regularly stocked at this year's farm stand, please let us know asap.
We hope you weathered the winter well and we are looking forward to seeing you at the Garrard Creek Community Farm Stand in just a few short months!!

Labor Day Bouquets!!
Today We, The People, celebrate organized labor's solidarity and strength, reasonable hours for living wages and safe working conditions, may we as a society never forget all that has gone before us to ensure a more equitable, unioned society working together for the betterment of all our lives. Together We rise, may we all choose to make it so.
Honor system, $5-/bouquet; if you can’t pay today, please take flowers anyway, and pay tomorrow.

While the Garrard Creek Community Farm Stand does not have regular hours at the moment, it does have regular fresh cut Dahlias available for your enjoyment. Honor System, suggested $5-, but pay what you can. Don't have cash today?, take the bouquet anyway, and pay tomorrow.
It brings me so much joy to grow these bodaciously beautiful flowers, but it brings me even more joy knowing they are being enjoyed by others! May they lighten and brighten your day, bring you some sense of peace, joy, and well being. :-)

The Garrard Creek Community Farm Stand will be open for the first time this Saturday, July 11, 2020.
A variety of fruit, vegetables, and sedum starts will be available for sale.
CASH only
Your farmers will be wearing face masks in accordance with mandated Covid-19 business practice guidelines and hand sanitizer will be available.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday and providing you with delicious, nutritious, locally grown bounty.

Meet your Farmers:
We are the Smiths, Heather & Zak, of Mimir's Grove.
In Norse mythology, Mimir, pronounced (MEE-meer) was The Rememberer. Mimir shared wisdom of past tradition with its indispensable value, as a guide for present action.
We believe that re-localizing our food systems, meaning more small farms, using fewer fossil fuels and taking greater care of the communities (human and non-human alike) is vital to the healthy future of our species and the planet as we know it.
Our mission is to provide our local community with nutritious food, ethically grown (100% grass fed lamb & mutton, fryers, vegetables grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, etc). From endangered species rehabilitation to soil conservation, environmental remediation, to clean waterways we have been implementing integrated system regenerative agriculture practices for over a decade.
