When you are a kid you believe in all the fairytales and whimsical stories making the world a magical place. And then you grow up.

But the world is a magical place. You just have to know where to look. Frank Romano and family opened his farmer’s market August 2, 2006 in the hopes of honoring his father and continuing his legacy of serving up fresh produce and grocery to the community. Throughout the last 19 years, family have come and gone, strangers have come in and left friends. The cities have changed and grown, people have come and gone, but Romano’s has remained.

Small businesses have always lived in the shadows of big box stores, many suffocated by unmatchable prices and sales from their massive counterparts. But this week Romano’s has proven not only can a community keep the spirit of a family business alive for nearly 2 decades, but also that even in adulthood, sometimes there is a treasure at the end of the rainbow, if you just happen to look at the right moment.

We are open Friday, July 4th, from 9am - 3pm. Any catering orders for the 4th need to be placed by tomorrow, Thursday, July 3, by 4pm. We will have normal business hours Saturday, open from 9am - 5pm and closed on Sunday.

Starting March 1, Romano’s will no longer be accepting personal checks. As a reminder, we accept cash, debit cards, all major credit cards, EBT and Apple Pay. We are sorry for any inconvenience. (We also sell and accept Romano’s gift cards!)

Don’t forget about our catering menu when figuring out your holiday (and football!) plans - we can do the work for you! We have many options, including Football Subs, vegetable and fruit trays, cheese and pepperoni trays, large garden salads and deli trays. We also take preorders for Strombolis and Pepperoni Breads. Call or stop in for information!

It’s Holiday season! If you have a sweet tooth or need a last minute treat to bring to a gathering, Romano’s is fully stocked! Fresh baked cookies, strudels, brownies, turnovers, and homemade coconut bars are just a few of the treats we have! And if you’re not feeling turkey just yet or at all, our meat section is also fully stocked! Brave the chilly weather and come on out!

Also, a friendly reminder about holiday pies. We will be getting a large delivery of pies from Mama Jo’s on Tuesday late morning/early afternoon. We are not taking preorders for pies, however, if you call Tuesday afternoon we will grab and hold any pie if it is available.

Some exciting additions at Romano’s! New large Apple Caramel cookies, with apple chunks and gooey caramel. Also, a new addition to our Take and Bake pre-made pizzas - a Meat Lover’s! Loaded with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon, it’s perfect for a chilly night in. And finally, a new Boar’s Head meat at our deli counter, the Chimichurri Roasted Beef. Seasoned to perfection, it’s a tasteful addition to your usual lunchmeat rotation. Also, our holiday cookies are out, and new Mama Jo’s (locally from Amherst!) 9” pies, mini pies, cream pies and strudels have made a home here. We have also had our staple homemade Italian Biscotti available again, although we have had trouble keeping them stocked! Come in and see all the new things!
