Good Morning!

It's finally here! Not summer (well, actually that too!) I am talking about local asparagus. Grown on Sweet Acre (formerly Melon Vine) Farm. We have had a lot of inquiries as to when it would be in, so I just wanted to let you all know it is here. And it looks amazing. Haven't tried it yet, but I plan to remedy that situation tonight!

And on the subject of fresh produce, if anyone has suggestions for the produce basket, please share. We are open to suggestions! My problem is that I tend to lean heavily into salads and fruit, especially in the summer. What are your go-to veggies for summertime?

Stay cool and have a spectacular Thursday!

Happy Tuesday!

That feels like a Monday. But then, unless I have special plans, all my days feel pretty much the same. Not complaining though. I am pretty happy with the way my life is going.

Finally got the produce baskets figured out for this week. We have stone fruit in the form of peaches, nectarines, and plums, accompanied by broccoli, green beans, mushrooms, and red pepper. $25 for a small basket, and just $45 for a large. Due to the short week, we have extended the order deadline to 12 noon on Wednesday.

Welcome to Summer!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Just a reminder that we are open until 1pm in North Branch, and 2pm in Pine City.

And a request-During all the activities you have planned for the extra day of weekend, please take at least one small moment to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for you to have the freedom to do your chosen activities.

And a small heads up- not sure what all will be in this week's basket yet, but we are bringing back stone fruits with nectarines and plums! And probably some California blend veggies!

Happy Memorial day!

Happy Friday!!

Can't believe it is already Memorial Day weekend! Weather is not spectacular for the first "official weekend of Summer". But Sunday and Monday look phenomenal! So, if you have camping plans for the long weekend, don't lose heart. If you are not packing up and heading out for the weekend, come see us! We will be open regular hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Monday we will be open a half day.

And if you are free this afternoon around 2pm, come visit us in North Branch. We are having a pop up event run by our resident herbal consultant ThatbrainyB - Brittan! She will be helping walk us through herbal steaming. This is an open house style event, so come when you can, and stay as long as you like! No purchase necessary!

Have a great weekend - and remember the real reason for your extra long weekend!

Good Morning!

We definitely needed the moisture we have been blessed with in the last few days. And I love sleeping during a good thunderstorm. However, I like them even more when they are followed by a nice sunny 70 degree day, instead of overcast and 50! But it is supposed to get steadily warmer for the rest of the week. So, hopefully it will be nice for the first 'big' camping weekend of the season. Or at least for grilling.

Which makes this week's produce basket a perfect fit! Hobo dinners and melon! Fingerling potatoes, baby carrots, onion, pepper, and celery. Wrap it up in foil with some meat and a little oil and throw it on the grill! And how can you go wrong with watermelon, cantaloupe, and super sweet snow leopard melon for dessert? And all for just $25 for a small basket or $45 for a large! Call or email by 6pm today, and we will have a basket ready for you in time for the weekend!

Have a great Tuesday!

Hello!

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. Got rid of a bunch of unnecessary items in my house and got to help out the Burnett shelter at the same time! Plus I have more stuff to donate to Passionate Pines. And on Sunday, despite a few hiccups, I had a nice lunch with my brother. And, thanks to someone with waaay more energy than me, there are now 38 more trees/shrubs planted on my property. 25 of those will help feed both people and wildlife. The rest will help provide shelter and a good wind break. And beauty. Which is also important!

And, since spring finally seems to be taking root (pun intended) that means camping season is also here. And with the first big camping weekend just around the bend, we wanted to celebrate by bringing back the hobo dinner basket! Fingerling potatoes, baby carrots, onion, celery, and carrots. With a trio of melons, including snow leopard, for dessert! Call or email by 6pm Tuesday and we will have your large ($45), or small ($25) basket ready to pick up Thursday morning!

Happy Monday!

Happy Friday!

So, my technological ineptitude is rearing it's ugly head once again. There is a post I would live to share, to the More Than Sprouts and Sprouted Branch pages, but not sure how to make that happen. So, I will just have to plug it in my post! Check out That BrainyB LLC! Brittan - our amazing Monday-Tuesday girl in Branch now has her consulting office up and running in the back room of Sprouted Branch! Of course, while she is working the store, you are welcome to ask a question or two and she will be more than happy to help you. But if you would like a more personalized, in-depth consultation, I would definitely recommend scheduling a consultation appointment with her through her page!

Have a great weekend!

Good Morning!

Still no email list. Still no idea how to fix it! Might have found a temporary work around that still preserves everyone's privacy - I hope. I am re-sending an old email but replacing the body of the email with today's post.🤞

This week's basket is what makes the world go round - which, in my case, is obviously NOT tech! It is blueberries, grapefruit, oranges, radishes, brussels, beets, and peas! Let us know by 6pm tonight if you would like a basket this week, and we will have it ready for you Thursday Morning!

Have a great Tuesday!

Hello!

Technology is great....until it isn't. That was today. Which is why this post is so late! I thought this morning that it was just my tablet. We have a love-hate relationship. I love having portable tech. It hates me and loves to torment me!. Today's issue was the inability to bring up my email contact list. So after I finally got a chance at the store I sat down to the desk top. Same issue. Finally ended up bringing up my entire contact list. Marked everyone I could find on the news list and said 'email'. which puts everyone in the 'to:' section. Not ok, because I don't want to share everyone's email with everyone else. So then I had to transfer each one individually to the 'blind copy' section. With 55 people, it took a while. I think I got everyone, but if not, my apologies.

Basically, I just wanted to share what makes the world go round - which is certainly not tech today! Today, it is all those wonderful round balls of produce - grapefruit, blueberries, oranges, grapes, radishes, beets, brussels, peas (ok, the pods aren't round, but the peas themselves are!). So, if you would like to make your world go round a bit better this week, just call or email by 6pm Tuesday, and we will have a produce basket ready for you on Thursday!

Happy Monday!

Happy Friday!

I will be planting trees this weekend. What are your plans?

Just a couple of notes before the weekend hits....

We just lost our newest distributor. The one that had products I couldn't find elsewhere. The one that enabled us to lower some of our prices. We will, as always, try to keep the prices as low as possible while still keeping the lights on. Please bear with us as we look for alternative sources/products for some of our favorite products.

But guess what we were finally able to get in? Eagle Claw herbal chew is back after a long absence.

And finally, it is very early in the stone fruit season. Often this means that in the rush to get to market the fruit is still a bit on the green side. To ripen stone fruit simply put it in a paper bag with an apple or banana and leave it closed up on the counter for a couple of days. And voila - happy eating!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
