It has been our pleasure to be a healthful part of our community. The Sussex County Food Co-op had always believed in the positive association between good food and good health. We had been a dedicated part of our community that provided our members and customers with high quality products. We were proud to offer local organic produce we acquired from our local farmers. We had always set our goals

to serving with first-rate customer service while also helping to educate our members and the public. The Sussex County Food Co-op will be closing it's doors on August 14th, 2021. It has been our pleasure to serve you. Thank you all for your patronage.

The Sussex County Food Co-op closed its doors last September 2021. For over 40 years it served our community with friendly smiles, a wealth of information from our knowledgeable staff, and provided healthy foods along with an abundant selection of products we took pride in selling.

Now that all the bills and taxes have been paid, the business has been dissolved. The Certificate of Dissolution states that the remaining assets will be distributed to other nonprofits in the community that are engaged in production, education, preparing and the distribution of food.
There are logical candidates for these funds that are local.

I am asking our members and patrons, if any of you would like to be involved in the process to finalize distribution?

If you’re available and interested, please let me know by July 18, 2022.

The remaining funds to be dispersed will be part of the Sussex County Food Co-op’s legacy.

Next Monday, September 13th and Tuesday, September 14th 2021 will be the last two days that the Sussex County Food Co-op will be open.

Store hours will be from Noon to 5pm. All items will be 80% off.
Please stop in as we'll be offering free gifts.

Stop by and say goodbye to this 42-year old institution of health and wellness.

Before Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Greenlife or any corporate business. The Co-op led the way, but now it’s time to say goodbye.

Starting Monday, August 16,2021 all inventory at the Sussex County Food Coop will be 40% off.

New store hours will be 11am until 4 pm, Monday through Saturday. Although we will be glad to remain open longer if we have customers.
