We don’t usually stray far from all things .cheese & .underground 🧀🌱… but the recent wave of love inspired us to share this one!
We recently made a rich, delicious butter using a surprisingly simple method—whipping vegan heavy cream until it “churns” into butter, just like traditional dairy butter 🧈✨ (we didn’t expect it to turn out so well, so the video is a bit lo-fi)
The best part? It’s fully customizable. Once it forms, you can culture it or flavor it however you like—think radish, dill, herbs, garlic, or anything fresh you’ve got on hand 🌿🌶️ We used Open Nature vegan heavy whipping cream ( private label).
🧑🍳 How to make it:
1️⃣ Pour 1 container of Open Nature vegan heavy whipping cream into a stand mixer
2️⃣ Whip on medium-high for ~15 minutes, until it separates into solids + liquid
3️⃣ Strain off the liquid and give the butter a good squeeze to get out any residual liquid
4️⃣ Season with salt or any flavors you love
5️⃣ Shape, chill, and enjoy!
✨ Store refrigerated
✨ Spread, melt, or compound it into flavored butters
✨ That’s it—simple, fast, and surprisingly satisfying
Enjoy! 🧈🌱
