It is with sadness that we tell you, our dear friends and loyal customers, that Anne Saxelby Founder and Co Owner of Saxelby Cheesemongers passed away on October 9 2021. She was a driving force in the American Artisan Cheese movement and touched many of us with her kindness, knowledge and passion for well-crafted artisan cheeses. She was one in a million.
It is a tragic loss for her family, her friends, the food community and our company. We want to thank you for all your heartfelt messages of support, they are needed and greatly appreciated.
Be assured that the Saxelby team is here to carry on her legacy and honor our mission: Our relationships with our cheesemakers are the driving force behind what we do; we aim to know and celebrate the how and why behind each cheese in every season, and share that knowledge with cheese lovers everywhere.
