Fiddleheads Food Co-op

10/19/2026

A little heads up for our produce shoppers! 💚

We’re experiencing some unexpected supply issues with our produce distributors, which means you may notice more empty spots than usual in our Produce Department this week.

We’re expecting additional deliveries on Wednesday and Thursday and are doing our best to get everything restocked, although some items may remain unavailable.

Thanks for bearing with us while we work through this! We appreciate your patience (and your love for fresh produce). 🥬

IT’S OFFICIAL!!! WE’RE GROWING! 🌱💚

The votes are in, and Fiddleheads is officially welcoming new member-owners again!

A HUGE thank you to all of our current owners who took the time to vote and help shape the future of our co-op. Thanks to recent changes in Connecticut law and your support, we’re finally able to make room for more of our community!

Special thanks to Aundré Bumgardner for co-sponsoring HB5431 and believing in the co-op movement in New London, and to everyone who wrote testimony on our behalf!

And we couldn’t think of a better day to celebrate!

Come join us TODAY from 11–5 for our Co-op Party! We’ve got local vendors, food, samples, giveaways, music, and more!

PLUS, the first 20 new owners to sign up will receive a special welcome tote filled with goodies, samples, and coupons!

Interested in becoming an owner? Come see us at our membership table outside the store!

We’ve been waiting a long time to say this. Welcome to the co-op! 🥹💚

And remember, you never need a membership to shop at Fiddleheads!

October is Co-op Month! ❇️

This year’s theme is Built for This Moment, which feels pretty fitting around here.

Co-ops have always been about people coming together and deciding there’s a different way to do things. For us, that looks like supporting local farmers and producers, keeping more of our dollars right here in our community, making good food more accessible and creating a grocery store that actually belongs to the people it serves.

And we have a LOT to celebrate this October. 👀

We’ll be sharing more throughout the month about what makes co-ops different, some of the people and products that make Fiddleheads what it is, and of course, everything happening as we get ready for our big celebration on October 17th. 🌱

Nearly 20 years in, we’re still growing, changing and figuring out what comes next!

HAPPY CO-OP MONTH FRIENDS!! 🥳
