Building the foundation together — and once we have enough people sharing and supporting our local farmers and producers, here’s what happens…

Hill Country REKO - Farm to Table turns into a community marketplace where:

• Local farmers post what they have available
• Shoppers comment to reserve their orders
• Pick-ups happen at one set place, one set time
• No markup, no guessing, no hassle — just direct farm-to-table
• Farmers keep more of their earnings
• Families get fresher food from people they actually know
• And together we rebuild the connection between land, food, and community

This is how REKO works across Europe, and it’s exactly what we’re bringing here to the Hill Country.
Your “like,” your share, your comment, and your excitement are what make this take off.

If we build the crowd… the farmers will come.
If we show the farmers we care… the food will follow.

🌾 THE REAL STORY OF HOW REKO STARTED — AND WHY WE’RE BRINGING IT TO THE HILL COUNTRY

REKO didn’t start as a business or a trend.
It started with one man in a small town in Finland.

In 2013, farmer Thomas Snellman from Jakobstad looked around and realized something was wrong.
Small farms were struggling.
Big grocery chains were taking over.
And people were forgetting where their food came from.

So he tried something simple:
He created a Facebook group where local producers posted what they had each week.
Families commented their orders.
Everyone met for a quick pickup in a parking lot.

No booths.
No long market days.
No fees for consumers.
No middlemen.
Just trust, community, and real food.

It worked.
Within a year, more REKO groups popped up across Finland… then Sweden… then the rest of Scandinavia… then Europe.
Why?
Because people were hungry for connection — not just food.

Now it’s our turn.

Here in the Hill Country, we’re surrounded by ranchers, growers, bakers, beekeepers, makers, gardeners, and families working hard to keep traditions alive.
And yet…
kids think food “comes from the store.”
Small producers compete with big box chains.
And we’ve drifted from the land and the hands that feed us.

Hill Country REKO is our chance to bring that connection back.
To rebuild the relationship between neighbor and farmer.
To help local families earn a fair living.
To give our youth a real understanding of where food comes from and why it matters.

This is more than a weekly pickup.
It’s a movement — one we build together.

If you believe in leaving this place better than we found it…
If you believe in teaching the next generation the value of real food…
If you believe in supporting local hands and local land…

🌾 HELP US GROW HILL COUNTRY REKO BEFORE OUR FIRST DROP

We’re building something special here — a simple, local way for producers and shoppers to connect without long market days, middlemen, or wasted time. But before we schedule our first DROP, we need a strong community on both sides.

Producers — here’s how you can help:

🌱 Join the Producers group
🌱 Tell other growers, ranchers, bakers, beekeepers, and makers
🌱 Talk about what REKO is all about to curious neighbors and friends
🌱 Invite other small producers who need a place to sell
🌱 Share the REKO page to your followers

Consumers — here’s how you can help:

🛒 Invite friends, neighbors, and family
🛒 Share the REKO page in local groups
🛒 Tag your favorite local farms and small businesses
🛒 Comment “following” on posts to boost visibility
🛒 Help spread the word that BUYING LOCAL MATTERS

The goal is simple:
When our first DROP goes live, we want producers ready with their goods — and a community of shoppers excited to support them.

Every share, every invite, every tag helps us build a network that keeps money local and strengthens the Hill Country.

👉 Help us grow this before the first DROP — your support now builds the community we’ll all benefit from later. 🌄💛

🌄 WELCOME TO HILL COUNTRY REKO — AND WHY THIS MATTERS

Hill Country REKO is starting small, but with a big purpose:
keep food local, keep money local, and support the people who make the Hill Country home.

REKO began in Finland 🇫🇮 2013 as a simple idea — producers post what they have, customers preorder, and everyone meets once a week for a quick, friendly pickup. No booths. No long market days. No guessing what might sell.
Just neighbors supporting neighbors.

And that idea is exactly what we’re building here.

Before we launch our first DROP, we need a strong base of:
• local producers
• supportive shoppers
• people who value local food
• a community willing to share and invite others

We’re still looking for the right central location, and we won’t launch until we’ve built this together — but when we’re ready, you’ll be the first to know.

Here’s why your support matters:

❤️ Buying local keeps our money in the Hill Country

Local spending recirculates 2–4 times more in the community than spending at chains.

❤️ Direct-to-consumer sales (like REKO) help small producers

They create better income stability, more local jobs, and stronger rural economies.

❤️ Online shopping? Almost nothing stays here

Less than 1% returns to local communities.

Every time you share this page, tag a friend, invite a neighbor, or connect a local farmer or maker with us — you’re helping build something that lifts up the Hill Country.

REKO only works when the whole community comes together.
If you believe in supporting local families, small farms, home kitchens, and makers… this is your chance to help shape something meaningful.

Let’s build Hill Country REKO together.
Let’s make local stronger, one DROP at a time. 🌾💛

Hill Country — we need your help! 🌱🤝
Before we launch our first REKO DROP, we want to make sure we can reach as many local producers as possible.

Do you know someone who:
🐄 Raises cattle, chickens, goats, or sheep?
🍅 Grows veggies, herbs, or fruit?
🍯 Makes honey, jams, jellies, or baked goods?
🧀 Crafts cheese, eggs, pickles, or pantry items under Texas food laws?
🌸 Sells flowers, plants, or handmade consumables?

Tag them below!
👇
Your tag might be the reason a small farm or kitchen gets discovered by new customers right here in the Hill Country.

A REKO ring works best when producers and consumers come together — and you’re helping build that foundation. Thank you for spreading the word, inviting friends, and helping us lift up local small businesses. 💛🌾
