We are sinking in a summer and our farmers are busy keeping their crops dry and harvested. Cucumbers have hit the market and it's official pickle making time!

Veggies we are seeing now: cucumbers, green beans, onions, lettuce and salad mixes, cabbages, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, napa cabbage, eggplant, early tomatoes, potatoes, squashes of all kinds, peppers and much more!

There's also been early blueberries, late season strawberries, plus some blackberries

It's a perfect time to stock up on pasture raised meats-- you will find a variety of pork cuts, pasture raised chicken, beef in a variety of cuts, brats, bacon, sausage and more.

Plenty of freshly baked breads, handshaped bagels, several types. Sourdough loaves in a variety of flavors, sourdough cookies, artisanal loaves, traditional loaf breads and more.

We've got delicious scones, cinnamon rolls, banana breads, assorted flavors of homemade cookies, blueberry muffins, carrot cake, brownies, and much more.

The egg rolls will be ready along with fried rice, crab rangoon. It's new drink day for the lemonade fans and our farmers are ready to see you after a wet and rainy week. Downtown Neosho is the place to be when the bell rings at 9 a.m.

Taste & See Gardens has some freshly picked cabbage, ready to be enjoyed. Our farmers put tremendous time and effort in what varieties they plant and what our customers like the best.
Find Angela tomorrow and take home some cabbage to enjoy.
9 to noon, directly across from the Neosho Library.

This year I focused on smaller, sweeter cabbage varieties.. this one from Johnnys Seeds called “tiara” is a keeper..

Weighing in at 2.5 # it’s tight, crisp, and sweet. Not a huge core and because it’s smaller, it doesn’t have much waste…. Well, at least at my house it doesn’t..

Definitely one I’ll be doubling up on for this fall!

Did you know each week we have a variety of homemade bread available?
Our bread line-up rivals that of high end bakeries.
We have artisanal style sourdough loaves in a variety of flavors, traditional country-style loaf breads, sourdough loaf breads, hand-shaped bagels and even wood fired breads. All available each week.
Drop by this Saturday and find your favorite baker and take a loaf home, or choose several to find a favorite. They are baked from scratch, fresh each and every week.

Since our season began this year, Mr. Lee of Harvest Farm has been bringing piles of fresh veggies.
He is best known for his delicous berries. This year, he started the season off with his locally grown strawberries and has since moved into blueberries and even, last week, fresh blackberries.
If you haven't had his berries, you are missing out. Stop by this Saturday to support Mr. Lee, and all of our other farmers, bakers, and makers. They love to talk about what's growing and what's coming up next.
Saturday, 9 to noon, directly across from the Neosho Library. Tuesdays 4 to 7.

Hannah's Sweet Stitches returns this Saturday with some cute, new fun animals.
Her work is precise and her stitching is near perfect. We always love to see what adorable things she brings. You can see this owl, and many more new things on Saturday, 9 to noon, directly across from the Neosho Library.

Here is another new addition to my collection of stuffies that will be coming to the Neosho Farmer’s Market next Saturday, June 13. I used some different yarn colors for this little owl, and I think it turned out pretty good!

A quick note about weather and our market:

✅We are a rain or shine market.
✅ In the event that the weather becomes dangerous, such as high winds and/or lightening, we will use Facebook as a notification tool.
✅ Rain in forecast? We will be here, as will our dedicated farmers, bakers, and makers.

Our farmers work in all types of weather harvesting and tending their produce. Regardless of rain, our farmers have to pick their crops and we sincerely appreciate it when our market customers brave less than ideal weather to support our farmers. Our bakers also plan for market many days in advance and they appreciate your support on those days that might be rainy or extra hot.
We believe our customers are best and the support our community shows towards our farmers and bakers is first-rate.
As always, we will be ready to serve you with the freshest, sustainably grown produce and fruits around. Our bakers will be ready with a variety of freshly baked breads and delicious sweet treats. 9 to noon, every Saturday directly across from the Neosho Library. Now on Tuesdays, 4 to 7.
