We are a family farm located in Bellevue that is committed to providing our fellow Nashvillians with the produce their bodies crave. We combine the produce we grow in our "urban farm", with produce from other local growers to create our Half Bushels and Pecks, a weekly CSA program that is unlike anything in the area. While we are at Nashville Farmers' Market Friday - Sunday each week, we are open daily at our onsite farmstand, located at the intersection of Highway 70 S and Highway 70/Charlotte Pike in Bellevue (8250 Highway 70 S, Nashville, TN 37221).

Good morning guys. Farmstand and flower fields are open 8-6 today.

I am sitting outside watching the sun come up at my favorite beach. I’ve lost count how many espressos I’ve already drank and I’ve got a page full of notes to send to the crew back home. There was a time that I touched every piece of produce and planted every seed myself. The business was small. It’s was simple. Things are different now. There will be 3 trucks on the road today and a crew well trained that could probably take over a small country if that’s what I told them to do today. Maybe not…

This is the first year that we have went on a trip without one of our kids. Our oldest is in college now, and his schedule did not allow him to come. We certainly miss having him. I was thinking this morning how things are always changing around us. I’m not a go with the flow kind of guy. Not being able to see how every pumpkin is displayed and every box of produce is packed back home makes me uneasy. But, I know the place is in good hands and they will take care of you guys. Time to put work away for a few hours and go fishing.

Good morning guys. Farmstand and flower fields open 8-6 today. I’m at the beach with the family this week. I circle this week every year and know that if I can just get here then we have made it another season. I’ve fished this pier with my dad and granny since before I could walk. I can still see my grandfather sitting on his cooler drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon. I’ll fish hard all week, but catching fish is just a bonus. Y’all buy some stuff while I’m gone. Still got the dream of buying a little spot on the bay and selling shrimp off the back of an old pickup truck someday.

Good morning! Maybe a little breeze and a few showers. Pretty much a perfect mid October day. Farmstand and flower fields open 8-6. We restocked the pumpkins and mums this week and the place is beautiful. Smoke is packing the kids up today and gonna try to find some sand and a bottle of w**e. He’s got cameras everywhere on the property. Be good while he is away.

Running a business is funny. Sunday night you are sitting down to a glass of w**e after a much needed successful weekend. Monday morning you are shoveling horse manure and worm castings on crops that you hope to sell 6 months from now. Lots of people comment on that packed parking lot we have been blessed with on the weekends. It’s all the dirty work that makes the difference.

Another great day in the books. Thank you! When I’m at one of our farms I am wired to see every problem or potential issue. It’s actually what makes me really good, but I tend to miss the beauty of what we have created most days. I appreciate all the pics that we are tagged in from our customers. I get to see the farm through your eyes. It’s really important that we don’t get tunnel vision and only see the world through our tiny view point.

Good morning guys! We had a great day yesterday and I wanted to make sure you all know how much our family appreciates the support for what we do. I think it could be another good day coming up.

Yesterday, I was planting some seeds and a little girl came over and kneeled down beside me asking what I was doing? I let her know what I was planting and we had a little small talk before she ran back into the pumpkins and joined her mom, dad and what I’m guessing was her grandparents. A perfect family on a perfect day. I’d bet she could talk them into buying anything she wanted on my lot. Great for me! And awesome for her! I’ve also seen single moms out here in years past doing all she can to give her kids a great experience, but definitely limiting the kids to maybe one or two small pumpkins they could put in their hand. It’s hard for those kids to understand watching other kids fill up carts and they can’t.

I can’t fix that whole scenario, but when I see how I can make something better, then that’s what I’m gonna do. So, if you are a single parent, bring your kids out here. There is no admission to walk the pumpkin patch. Tell the ladies up front about this social media post and they will give you 50% off your pumpkin/mum purchase. I’ll keep this offer extended through the remainder of the Fall. Hope this eases a little stress in what should be a memory making season.
