🚨 Farm Alert: We may have accidentally hired a turkey. 🚨

Meet Terry the Turkey, our newest farm resident and self-appointed Director of Guest Relations. 🦃❤️

Terry arrived recently and has already made himself completely at home. He loves people, craves attention, and firmly believes that wherever you’re going, he should be going too. Feeding animals? Terry’s there. Carrying supplies? Terry’s supervising. Walking across the yard? Terry is right behind you like a feathery little shadow.

His latest big decision? Declaring our front porch as his personal headquarters. Apparently, it offers excellent people-watching opportunities and easy access to potential new friends.

Terry is already looking forward to greeting all of our market guests this weekend, so don’t be surprised if you’re welcomed by a turkey who seems convinced he owns the place. (We’re honestly not sure he doesn’t. 🤭)

We hope everyone has a wonderful week and gets a chance to enjoy some sunshine, smiles, and maybe even a turkey es**rt service like ours!

Back in November, my sister gave me one of those fancy smart bird feeders that takes pictures, records videos, and even has night vision. 🐦📸

For months I’ve been trying to decide where to put it. Should I use it for its intended purpose and capture beautiful photos of cardinals, blue jays, and chickadees?

Or…

Should I point it at the chicken feeder and spend my days watching our feathered little troublemakers argue over snacks, steal treats from each other, and dramatically sprint across the farm like tiny dinosaurs? 🤭🐔

I mean, let’s be honest… the chickens seem way more likely to provide award-winning entertainment.

Imagine the possibilities:

🌙 Night vision footage of whatever suspicious chicken business happens after dark

⛈️🌞 Well, Mother Nature certainly kept things interesting yesterday!

The storms rolled through and, like many of our neighbors, we lost power for a while, and are still without. Thankfully, the farm family—both two-legged and four-legged—weathered everything just fine. The animals mostly treated the whole event like free entertainment, and we’re pretty sure a few of them actually enjoyed the dramatic weather. 🐐🐓🐖

This morning the generators are humming and the coffee is brewing. That means the market is OPEN today and stocked with plenty of fresh cinnamon rolls, baked goods, breads, and other homemade treats. 🍞🥐🍪

If you’re still waiting on your power to come back, or you just need an excuse to get out of the house, come spend a little time with us. We have fresh goodies, friendly faces, and farm animals who are very proud of themselves for surviving yesterday’s “great storm adventure.” 😄

🚨 New Farm Resident Alert! 🚨

Well, today took an unexpected turn… and we couldn’t be happier about it! 🦃❤️

This morning we were contacted about a sweet turkey named Terry who was in need of a new home. After hearing his story and seeing his handsome face, there was only one possible answer…

Of course, Terry can come live at the farm! 🥰

Terry has already been busy checking out his new surroundings, meeting the neighbors, and making himself right at home. We have a feeling he’s going to fit in perfectly with our crew of lovable farm misfits. 😂

Life on the farm is always full of surprises, and today Terry reminded us that sometimes the best additions are the ones you never planned for.

🌸🌼 Sometimes the farm reminds us to slow down for a moment. Between caring for animals, tending gardens, baking treats, and preparing for market days, we took a little time today to stop, smell, and admire the flowers.

🌸☀️ Farm Update from the Flower Beds ☀️🌸

I stopped by to check on our rare double-bloom flower today, and what a surprise! Not only is our original beauty still showing off, but I discovered another plant with two double blooms of its own! Nature always seems to find new ways to amaze us when we slow down long enough to look.

With all this warm sunshine, everything around the farm is thriving and growing. The flowers are blooming, the gardens are progressing, the animals are enjoying the beautiful weather, and there’s a wonderful feeling of life and abundance everywhere you look.

We’re so grateful for these sunny days and for everyone who supports our little farm and market. As the weekend approaches, we’d love for you to stop by, stroll around, visit the animals, and see what’s new around the farm—who knows what surprises you might find!
