It's a long way from Southfork Pennsylvania to Myrtle Creek Oregon but our 60 plus baby turkey poults made the journey. They will have the best summer and fall on the farm eating grass, chasing bugs and playing their favorite game of apple tag.

"I am sweating like a pig" is such a funny statement considering that pigs do not have enough sweat glands to actually sweat. Because they can't sweat to regulate their body temperature they rely on wallows and our pigs take great joy in wallowing time! Especially on these upcoming hot days. Many people believe this makes pigs dirty but actually pigs are the cleanest animal on our farm. They rely on wallows to cool off and also the mud protects their skin from sunburns. Hi friends we have been fielding lots of phone calls regarding upick strawberries. Right now our strawberries are looking a bit ragged after lots of harvesting activities. We are taking the next week or two to fertilize and prune them and clean them up so we can hope for another big flush! Our patch is all everbearing berries which means they do keep producing all season. Please watch our page here for updates. We will post once our berries pick up again!
