No more water wasted. 💙
Everybody’s got a few ideas where you think, “wouldn’t it be cool if” and then we check our texts and the idea slides away.
I had that.
Wouldn’t it be cool if the water from my gutters could water the strawberries? Wouldn’t it be neat if I could use the kitchen dishwater in the toilet? Wouldn’t it be super if I could use the creek across the street to water my fruit trees?
I got a ton of ‘em. And then I checked my texts and mostly forgot. But not entirely. Musta just been percolating in my brain pan.
So as we designed the new wash area, I put in some small scale water reclamation. Then K built this box for some extra plants and when it came time to water, we hooked up a hose.
I’m proud of this whole project, from conception to ex*****on. I’m extra proud that my brain hung onto an idea long enough for my body to put it into action. 😎
