I can’t be the only one itching to decorate and start the holiday season.

We love Christmas around here 🎄

The cozy warmth of blankets and fireplaces… matching Christmas pajamas.. twinkling lights… Christmas music.

I want it all!

Are you team hold out or go for it?!

Ugh 😩

I can’t be the only one that’s ready for Christmas 🎄

I saw these at Sam’s Club and figured it would be a good compromise instead of putting up my tree early 🤭🤪

Cooking potato soup and listening to my daughter watch Dragon Tales in the background 😍 I used to watch this show in the morning before getting on the bus for school. I’m so glad she loves it, too 💕

Here’s the recipe for my kids favorite potato soup:

Ingredients:
Bacon
3 Tablespoons butter
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
3 large garlic cloves, minced
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
6 Large potatoes, peeled and cubed
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups milk
⅔ cup heavy cream
⅔ cup sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Cook bacon and remove from pot leaving grease. Add in butter and once melted, add in onion and cook until translucent. Add in garlic and cook 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Whisk in flour and cook additional 3-4 minutes. Slowly pour in chicken broth, milk, heavy cream and potatoes. Bring to a boil and cook until fork tender, about 10-15 minutes. Add in sour cream and mash large chunks of potatoe with a potato masher for a creamier soup. Add salt and pepper to taste and top with cheese, bacon, sour cream and additional toppings as your heart (stomach) desires.

Enjoy 😊

Today’s been rough, health wise.

I can feel myself getting under the weather. Unfortunately, the recent travel coupled with being so busy the last few months has caught up to me.

This is what it’s like living with POTS and autoimmune diseases. You trade a good day and pay for it later.

I’m paying for it today. My body hurts. I can barely keep my eyes open. I’m so winded. Moving from sitting to standing, things go fuzzy quick and my head feels like it’s gonna explode. My muscles feel weak like I’ve ran a marathon. The hot flashes are in full swing and my HR has been up to the 160s. My watch alarm has been going off all day with swift highs and quick drops.

I still went to work. I baked. I cooked supper. I did laundry. I did the things.
This is why I saw you should give grace, because you never know what someone is going through that they don’t show you. And if you had a bad day today, too and didn’t do any of things… I’m still proud of you. Because you’re here and sometimes that’s all you can do.

Take care of yourself. Give yourself grace. Give others grace.

Also, should I have Jeanie trained for an alert dog? 🤪

Buddy, you have yeed your last haw 🤠

With as long as we have had this steer, he never had got out of his fence until the last few days. Got him loaded up in the trailer, and the side door was open and out he went again 😂

The restraint my poor husband had to have to not just *not alive* him then and there 🤭

Ribeyes are on the menu coming soon.
