Please know that the Pinewood Farmers' Market coordinated by Lisa and Maryellen has been canceled! Please also notate that Martino's Market IS NOT (also called the Munds Park Market in the Pines) NOT affiliated with the Pinewood Farmers' Market (PFM). Nor is the PFM associated with the Agee's BBQ Market and Munds Park RV Resort. These are three different markets independent of the PFM who have different beliefs and values than the PFM. The PFM has been canceled to avoid adding to the confusion and chaos of four farmers' markets in our small community. We began the PFM in honor of my mother, to give back to the community (donations to not-for-profits), and to help promote vendors and artisans as well as bring the community together. The PFM ended up honoring so many more individuals such as Frank with CCC Mini Storage, Pastor Rex Sampe who is the "best thing that ever happened to Munds Park" (a great leader, visionary, and a man of his word (integrity), Artisan Terry (jewelry maker), and so, so many, others. To all the not-for-profits that participated in the market IT WAS A HONOR TO DONATE AND SERVE YOU! We were both happy to serve the community, including the Munds Park Community Church, which enabled us to help coordinate the free land given to the church for their parking. To all our loyal vendors, artisans, and market attendees A BIG THANK YOU! We wish everyone much success in the future. So, PLEASE JOIN US for a fun-filled day at the BEACH! With a very heavy heart and much sadness please know that my good friend, my buddy, BEST TOMATOE FARMER IN THE WORLD, great dad, and former Peoria Fire Chief & Firefighter passed. I have worked with Dave for 12 years in conjunction with the Pinewood Farmers' Market and I share this with you because I know everyone in Munds Park loved, loved his farm produce, especially his farm tomatoes. He was one of the hardest working, kind, generous, and honest human beings. I ask that you pray for him and his family, knowing that he will be missed immensely. Knowing Dave he's already planning for his fall, 2021 crops in heaven. Rest In Peace Farmer Dave. It was a honor to work with you my friend. ✌🙏
