Heart attack 3,000 at this point! Everybody has THAT ONE. The one who sleeps like the dramatically dead. His front paws are to god, back paws slumped to the side, eyes closed. I have two, the other is his father! Somebody needs to tell these boys that this is NOT COOL! They won't listen to me! These pics were taken a minute apart. I literally grabbed my camera after I saw this punk's chest rise and fall, his nose twitching, and realized his brothers were around him acting normal!

This has been a great week for our animals! We had a bunch of sales, our young bobwhites are slowly starting to lay, and our ducks are laying like champs! We also got a pallet of free damaged playsand, we were able to repot these beauties below, and we renewed our gamebird license. Just last week we were going absolutely nowhere though we were working so hard. We are truly grateful for everyone's support, our community is amazing. Thank you for following, buying, sharing information, and just being there!

Another Recycled wood project off the to-do list! Strong enough to drive our mule on, and even the shortest members of our family no longer have to climb Shop Everest to get in!

We love to barter and we love to reuse as much as possible here. Most of our projects were at sometime something else. The barn reno that we did gave us plenty of 2x12 boards, corrugated plastic panels, and rat wire for many projects, including our rabbit hutches and duck/quail/ chicken enclosures. Our "new" duck pond? Made from bartered and reused lumber from someone's old barn takedown and replaced deckboards. The hardware was in our workshop from previous owners. Our bus stop for the kids? A storm door from another house, windows that came from a storm door on this house, and one window that was bartered for from yet another house, and pallets, lots of them. Yet again, a corrugated plastic roof from the barn reno. If you like to barter, hit us up. We are crafty people and you never know what kind of whatever we may be looking for, or what we can trade you too!

When you have messy ducks and don't like your barn being a mud pit, and don't love hauling the kiddie pool out of the barn for cleaning every couple days, you come up with a duck pool and patio outside the barn! The pool has a drain and shutoff valve underneath, a duck door at the barn that can be closed off if it is too cold or for maintenance, and a people door in the side for us to get in and clean. We had to dust off our geometry skills for the ramp to come out right! Hopefully some finished pictures coming soon!
