Buckle Up! Saturday, May 16, officers from the Knox County Sheriff's Office, Mount Vernon Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be on hand with information on the Click it or Ticket seatbelt safety campaign.

NEW vendors this week:
STICKEE SWEET GOURMET POPCORN made from scratch using popcorn kernels from a local farmer. They cook all of their candied flavors on the stovetop and bake for 45 minutes to give the popcorn a nice crunchy texture!
SWEET CAROLINE returns to the market with decorated sugar cookies, cake balls and cupcakes!

INCENTIVE UPDATES:
The Knox County Task Force for Older Adults "Eat fresh, Eat local" orange token program begins June 6. Knox County seniors age 60 and older can receive $10 worth of tokens to spend on fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey. Seniors are asked to limit themselves to twice a month to give everyone a chance to participate.

The SENIOR FARMERS MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM (income based) benefits are live starting May 15. Benefits for Knox County have already been distributed so if you didn't yet apply, wait 'til next year. Use the Homegrown Benefits app or the card you received in the mail.

WIC is eliminating paper coupons this year. The program start date is to be announced. The program will use an app or card this year.

Remember, our market is rain or shine! See you Saturday 9 am to noon on Mount Vernon's Public Square.
