Attention members of 255: As you may be aware a member returned to work this week without quarantining after travel. While they did have a negative COVID test before reentering the state, this was still a requirement. Since this time this individual has started a quarantine. Our union representative from the union's national office has reached out to both VOSHA and the Vermont Department of Health to follow up on any further action they would recommend. Without a positive test, they did not have any required actions for the employer or employees to take. Employees who may have had close contact, specifically employees working in the Front End can consider getting a COVID test but it is not an official recommendation from any officials our union rep spoke to made barring a positive test happening in the future. While we certainly understand this has caused stress and frustration amongst our members, we are addressing it and appreciate members maintaining solidarity with each other during these stressful times.
