The City of Montgomery, in partnership with Councilwoman Riley of District 4 are thrilled to bring back Neighbors and Flavors to improve food access for local residents and strengthen community bonds! Join us again this Friday, February 6th from 4:30 PM-7 PM at 4724 Mobile Hwy for fresh food, local vendors, music & community vibes! 🤩
With the success of the previous food giveaway at St. Jude's, which served over 150 families, our goal is to extend these same efforts to the west side of Montgomery. Thanks so much to our community collaborators, ZiZi’s Bee Company, Fresh Greens Market, Beyond the Flame Food Truck, Ms.Brown from the farmer’s market, Loyal Produce, Montgomery Meat and Grocery, Piggly Wiggly Food For Less for supporting our efforts! Due to an increase of questions about the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), please see the important information below.

• Applicants must apply online at https://agi.alabama.gov/farmersmarket/
• Applicants must reapply every year.
• Applicants must be 60 years of age or older on the day of application.
• Applicants’ gross household income must not exceed these limits:
o $2,248 monthly … for a household of … 1
o $3,041 monthly … for a household of … 2
o $4,109 monthly … for a household of ... 3
o $4,958 monthly … for a household of ... 4

Unfortunately, applications cannot be taken over the phone or by mail.

You will need your card number to renew that card and submit your application. If eligible and your application submission is completed, a benefit card will be mailed to the address provided on the application for new recipients.
