The Carlson family is a local dairy farm family whose lives changed when their daughter, Montana, was born prematurely at 33 weeks and diagnosed with a rare condition called Congenital Hyperinsulinism. After spending 50 days in the Fargo NICU, Montana was transferred to Cooks Children’s Hospital in Texas for specialized care, where she has undergone three surgeries. The family has now been away from home for over 100 days.

I’m learning that trying to post on social media isn’t going to be perfect and polished. We’re living real life over here. Sometimes you’re trying to take a video of loading a steer and the chickens have other plans🤦🏼‍♀️ and yes, the one that got stepped on is perfectly fine. A customer favorite in our shop is our farm fresh eggs. If you come to the shop for eggs you have probably noticed that we are running pretty short on them most days.

Chickens start to lay fewer eggs in the fall as we move into winter for a couple of reasons. The change in temperature and less daylight hours being two of the biggest reasons.

While we could start ordering other eggs in to have a constant supply, we don’t want to do that. We will just have a season with fewer eggs. So be patient with us, our chicken ladies are slowing down and we are doing our best to get you as many eggs as we can!

Our beef jerky is a little unique compared to most other places. We have a few flavor options in both thick and thin cut jerky packages. We have found that people definitely either prefer thick and easier to tear, or thin and makes you work for it a bit. Both are great, both have a spot on our shelves!

All of our jerky and smoked snacks are made by hand by our guys in the back!
