We remember.

We are grateful.

Today, we pause to remember.

Memorial Day is often seen as the unofficial start of summer. It's a day for cookouts, family gatherings, travel, and time away from work. But sometimes, in the excitement of the long weekend, we forget why this holiday exists in the first place.

Memorial Day is not simply a day off.

It is a day set aside to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Every freedom we enjoy today was purchased by someone willing to put themselves in harm's way on behalf of others.

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.

Behind every flag waving in the breeze is a story. Behind every military cemetery is a family that never got their loved one back. Behind every freedom we enjoy is a debt that can never truly be repaid.

Today, all of us at Rubber Ducky Winery & Country Market want to extend our deepest gratitude to those who gave their lives defending our nation and protecting the freedoms that so many of us take for granted.

We also want to recognize and thank those who continue to serve and those who have served in years past.

We are especially proud to have two members of our own team who have worn the uniform of the United States Air Force:
