Great news. We’re coming to the QCFarmersMarket tomorrow! We have naturally dyed yarn and our fresh run of undyed yarn, plus a few lush sheepskins. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Update: sold.
We have a Kiko buck for sale. He came to our farm when he was under a year old from Iowa Kiko Goats. He has since sired many strong healthy kids and grown himself as well. He is 2 1/2 years old - in prime health. He will make a great addition to someone’s herd. Contact us for details. We may have a few does available as well, but not everyone! Yes, that means we are transitioning to not breeding goats to prep for Will going into a pretty serious engineering focus in college after this next year. We plan to keep some goats in with the sheep flock to help maintain our pasture as best as possible.

Spent a fantastic afternoon at flower farm for a field day! I love Cathy and she always inspires me. With the added touch of a bit of rain and wind, it felt just like our Ireland farm tours last summer! 😆

Our prairie pasture is looking really nice. When I looked back at my phone though, I realized it finally happened. I’m more like my dad than I realized. I’m taking endless pictures of grass. He used to go on work trips as a grass seed salesman and come back with pictures of just grass. Now here I am…taking pictures of my pretty grass.

Little baby prairie. We can tell these babies are growing in the rows we planted with our SWCD’s seed drill. Pretty sure that’s our new native prairie pasture coming in with seed from ! This year is all about establishment. Knocking down weeds a few times and keeping the sheep elsewhere so solid roots can settle into their new permanent homes.

Back home after a week in Chicago for work and wow the farm is looking like spring! Asparagus is ready, first mushrooms popped, and the apple trees are starting to blossom. The sheep and goats are anxious to get into grazing. Soon girls. Soon.
