So yesterday, while I was taking some garden weeds to the chickens and ducks, I found a baby chick wandering. I guess it’s been 3 weeks that mom hen has been sitting. 😂 baby chick was reunited with mom.

it’s been busy. Gardens need weeding, new baby ducks, some canning and just trying to enjoy the blooms while we have them on the flowers 💐

We very much enjoyed watching this hen become a mom. We intentionally gave her the chance to hatch these eggs and then I found a hidden nest of another hen that made the decision herself so these 7 will need to make room for the new arrivals.

We enjoyed our big sunflower last fall. We saved some seeds and not too long ago we went around and planted some. We are excited to see some sprouting already and can’t wait to see how big they get.

We had some welcome new additions yesterday morning. I believe I counted 14 babies with mamma duck.

Summer is creeping up on us. Yard work, chores and the garden definitely keep us enjoying the fresh air. There’s days that I feel I don’t sit down much but I always enjoy seeing the progress made on a project and the green shoots that make their appearance.

I was happy to see momma hen had company in the nest with her today. I knew it was close to hatch time but was thinking tomorrow would be day 21.
