I know I’ve been a little quiet lately. 🤍

Truthfully, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes with my family right now, and some days I just don’t have much left to give to social media.

I’m still here. Still taking care of the animals, still doing all the things that need done, still trying to find little pieces of joy in the middle of it all. I’ve just needed to put my energy where it matters most right now — at home.

I don’t want to share details because some things aren’t mine to share, but I wanted to say something because this little community means a lot to me.

Life gets heavy sometimes. And right now, I’m just taking it one day at a time. 🤍

Thank you for still being here.

📸 Local photographers… would you be interested in this?!

I’m thinking about opening up Feather & Forage for photo sessions! Our photo booth area, pond, rustic farm setting + possibly some of the animals. 🐑🫏🌾

Perfect for minis, families, seniors, couples & more.

Would you use it? 👀📸

Heal the root so the tree is stable.

That’s what I’ve been doing.

Digging into the parts of myself I spent years covering up. Asking why I react the way I do. Why I carry things that were never mine to carry. Why I learned to survive in ways that no longer serve me.

I used to think healing meant becoming a different person.

Now I think it means finding my way back to the person I was before life taught me I had to be anything else.

Some seasons aren’t about growing new branches or producing more fruit. Some seasons are about going underground.

Quietly strengthening the roots.

Because I’m not interested in looking strong anymore.

I want to actually be stable. 🤎

Okay, since y’all keep asking what I use on my skin… THIS IS IT. 🤍”

No 10-step skincare routine. No cabinet full of expensive products. Just my Whipped Tallow Balm.

It’s literally what I use on my face every day—and apparently my skin has been doing the advertising for me because y’all keep asking. 😂

Simple. Natural. Made by me. 🐄🤍

Who else has made the switch to tallow?!

Okay, this is TOTALLY outside my comfort zone. 🫣🤍

I decided to take a chance on myself and enter the MAXIM Cover Girl competition.

I’m usually much more comfortable in muddy boots, surrounded by my family and farm animals than putting myself out there like this. 😂 But I’m 33, and I’m learning that sometimes you just have to say “why not me?” and do the thing that scares you.

So… here I am. 🥹

If you want to support this Kansas farm girl doing something completely unexpected, I’d be so grateful for your vote. 🤍

VOTE FOR ME HERE 🤍 you can vote daily.

Here’s to doing things that scare us a little. 🫶🏼

You can’t eat money.
You can’t drink oil.
And you can’t replace a dead planet.

Protect what’s left. 🌎

I’m 33 in people years, 84 in farm years. 😂

This little girl is still very much alive inside this 33-year-old. 🖤

Before the sheep, ducks, garden, homemade bread and Feather & Forage… there was My Chemical Romance blasting while I tried to survive middle school and puberty. 😂

That music got me through some of the most awkward, dramatic, nobody understands me years of my life.

And seeing everyone at their concert right now has me realizing I didn’t grow out of her at all.

I just traded the eyeliner for overalls and farm animals. 😂🖤

Any other former emo kids hiding out in the homesteading world with me?
