This week’s mushroom selection is something special. Featuring incredible locally grown varieties from Sky Island Mushrooms and .
We’ve got THREE varieties of Lion’s Mane, including a rare Chiricahua foraged variety from right here in Turkey Creek. With stunning natural hues of pink, white, and blue, these mushrooms are as beautiful as they are nutritious.
Lion’s Mane is known for supporting:

The Local Co-op is proud to now accept Medicare Advantage benefits, helping you bring more fresh, nourishing food to the table.

From farm fresh produce to locally raised meats, shopping for healthy groceries can now go a little further. Eligible shoppers can use FSA/HSA cards on qualifying purchases.

We currently accept select Medicare Advantage plans, including plans through:�• United Healthcare�• Centene�• Fidelis�• Align Senior Health�• Wellcare�• Banner Health�• Blue Cross Blue Shield�• Gold Kidney

The Aabye family has a rich history in farming and ranching, and we’re grateful to have them as part of our community. This season, they’ve been keeping our shelves stocked with beautiful cabbage, broccoli, carrots, beets, and radishes — all grown with hard work and care right here in Cochise County.
We truly appreciate the dedication they bring each week to providing fresh, local produce for our customers and community. Thank you, Aabye Farms, for everything you do!

Meet our March Producer of the Month — Anthony of Forest Dweller Mushroom 🍄

Around here, community is everything and Anthony is a big part of what makes it grow, literally.

Through Forest Dweller Mushroom, he brings fresh, nutrient packed mushrooms to our tables. But his impact goes even further. As our Farm to School Logistics Coordinator, Anthony helps connect farms state wide to our local schools bringing fresh food into the hands of students all year long 🌱
And now, he’s helping you be part of that story.

His at-home mushroom grow kits are not only fun to experience. Every kit supports program. So while you’re watching mushrooms pop up on your kitchen counter, you’re also helping expand access to fresh, local food for kids in our community.
Pretty magical, right? ✨

Stop by the market or our retail shop in McNeal this month to learn more, and maybe take home a grow kit of your own. Let’s keep growing something good together 💛

Huge thanks to our McNeal Food Pantry volunteers for keeping the shelves stocked so we can continue free food distributions every Monday, 9–11 AM.

Each bag includes pantry staples and fresh local produce, because everyone deserves real, nourishing food.

As costs rise, more families are leaning on programs like this. If you’re able, help us keep it going.
