MCG plant sale 9am-noon today at the Elks, 34 Powdermill Rd. No early birds, but you can join the line for 9am admission. In addition to wide variety of plants from member gardens, there will be annuals, veg and hanging baskets from Stow Gardens. Proceeds fund the downtown buckets, the club’s public lectures and other wonderful work around town.

Need some friendly, food-loving help for festival season! 🔥🧀

Ben’s Raclette is looking for part-time cashier / order-taker support for our outdoor events and festivals across the Greater Boston area, starting in June and running through December.

What you’ll do:

Take guest orders and handle payments on our POS
Keep the line moving and answer basic menu questions
Help create a fun, welcoming raclette experience for our guests

Details:

Part-time, mostly weekends (with some evenings) June–December
$18/hour; usually 4-6 hours per event
Festivals and pop-up events in Greater Boston
Prior customer service or food service experience is a plus

We’re a small, growing business, so you’ll be working directly with the owner and a tight-knit team, in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

To commemorate the world's most famous mathematical constant, enthusiasts around the world embrace their inner nerdiness by celebrating Pi Day. The number is irrational, meaning that it cannot be expressed through the division of two whole numbers. It is also a transcendental number, which means that it isn't the root of any algebraic number. This irrational and transcendental nature appeals to people, perhaps because pi's continuous flow of digits reflects the unending circle it helps to trace.

The Maynard Community Gardeners spring celebration breakfast is this Sunday 3/15 at 9:30am and anyone interested in learning more about the club is invited to RSVP, attend, and decide at the end of the event if you’re interested in joining. Enjoy some great company, delicious food and hear updates about planned activities and projects. The club has a history of great projects in town (see downtown buckets & creating the Farmers Market) as well as a place to form friendships and learn more about gardening.
